Magical, life-affirming, once-in-a-lifetime experience! - Stepping into the woods with Lorraine felt like wandering into an ancient, enchanted forest. The towering trees, with their gnarled roots and whispering leaves, seemed to be full of stories, and Lorraine brought each one to life. Her deep well of knowledge—ranging from local history and folklore to fascinating scientific and botanical insights—made every step of the journey an absolute delight. She wove history and nature together so effortlessly, it felt like we were traveling through time. Lorraine has a rare gift for weaving history, nature, and personal stories together in a way that felt deeply meaningful to me. I left not only with my head buzzing with new knowledge but also with a sense of personal reflection and connection to the land and its stories. Highly recommend this magical experience to anyone looking to connect with nature, history, and maybe even themselves in the most charming way! Lastly, this experience left me with a lot of dread and hope and passion regarding the future of this precious piece of woods. I wish I could do more to protect it, to take care of it. I left a huge piece of my heart in the Cortown Woodlands and I know Lorraine will take care of it.

A master naturalist - wonderful experience! - Lorraine is a master naturalist and a wonderful person - so giving of her time and knowledge. It was a wonderful, real way to be introduced to Ireland -- throughout our trip, we found ourselves eating nettle seeds whenever we could, or sharing one of her stories about the plants with family we were visiting. Thank you!

A magical and nourishing woodland tour - Lorraine is welcoming, friendly, knowledgable, and highly skilled. She has a gift for storytelling combined with deep respect for the woods. On our tour I learned about local history and folklore, about the woodwide web, foraging and plant medicine, and the need for us all to be stewards of the woods. I came away with greater knowledge, deeper respect for nature, and with a lightness of spirit. Definitely recommend! Take warm clothing and enjoy☺️!
