Cruise trip tour in Roatan - Our party of 5 (2 grandparents, 2 parents & 1 yr old) had an awesome tour! We loved the animal park & it was great having our own photographer photographing our time holding the sloth, macaw & monkeys. Omar was an excellent tour guide & we highly recommend him. We met Omar outside the port entrance & walked to the animal park. This was a little difficult with a stroller as the sidewalk had unfinished areas, traffic was heavy & it was muddy after rain. After the park we got in a nice car for the rest of the tour. Omar dropped us off back at the port upon return. The rum cake factory was nice but could have skipped the chocolate factory due to how crowded it was. Enjoyed stopping for photos at the Roatan sign. Will definitely do this again with other family members when we return in April.

Highly Recommended this... - Highly Recommended this tour. Our Tour Guide Alfred he is so friendly, he ensured we have the best photos taken before leaving. Despite the rain, we are able to get what we need to done. We left the powerbank charger in Alfred's car, I contacted the tour operator, they then contacted Alfred for us. He took the powerbank back to the port and meet with us despite the port is extremely busy and so hard to get through, traffic is very where, we really appreciated his effort and kindness for above and beyond.

Great time in Roatan - Leon was a fabulous tour guide. He gave us insights into life in Roatan that we wouldn't have had on our own. Holding the sloths was a definite highlight but seeing and interacting with the other animals was great too. The chocolate and rum shops were great and the samples were definitely a plus. Would recommend this tour highly!!

Immersive experience - Our tour guide Leon was fabulous. He gave us an insiders look at Roatan. The animal park was great and it was so neat holding and feeding the different animals. The chocolate factory was nice especially the free samples and the rum store was as well. Getting to taste all of the different cakes was a highlight for me. Leon was very kind to help us with getting photos and made sure we were back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. Would recommend this company and this tour highly.

A memorable and Hilarious trip to the sloths, Monkey, and Parrots in an old van for 15 of us! - The tour to the Animal zoo was great, interacting with the animals were a great experience. Not too impress with the Rum and chocolate stops but it was ok. Our journey riding the tour VAN was very momorable for our family since there was 15 of us and we fitted in an old van. It was a trip full of laughter all the way and back!!!

memorable but with room for improvement! - This tour in Roatan had its highs and lows, and it’s definitely an experience I won’t forget. Here’s the breakdown: The Positives: Engaging Tour Guide: Despite the initial confusion, the tour guide we ended up with was fantastic—welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. She made the tour enjoyable once things settled. Diverse Activities: Holding sloths, interacting with monkeys, and visiting the Chocolate & Rum Cake Factory offered a fun variety of experiences. It’s a great way to explore the island and get up close with its unique offerings. Scenic Island Views: Roatan is a beautiful island, and seeing it up close, even in the rain, was a treat. It’s clear the island has a lot of potential for growth, and it’ll be exciting to see how it evolves. The Negatives: Sketchy Start: From docking to leaving the port, the process was chaotic. We had to walk up and down hills, meet someone different than expected, and get into a local’s car without clear communication. As a U.S. traveler with kids, it felt unsettling at first. Overcrowding: Visiting during Thanksgiving 2024 meant huge crowds, which took away from the experience. Both the people and the animals seemed overwhelmed. Limiting the number of visitors would improve the tour significantly. Traffic & Tight Spaces: Navigating the island involved tight roads, construction, and traffic, which can be nerve-wracking if you’re unfamiliar with the area. The rainy weather added to the challenge. Unclear Communication: It would’ve been helpful to know upfront who the guide was and what to expect. Clearer communication would’ve eased a lot of the initial anxiety. Final Thoughts: This tour has the potential to be great, especially with its engaging activities and friendly guide. However, the chaotic start, overcrowding, and unclear communication made it a bit stressful. For families with kids or cautious travelers, it’s worth considering the timing and preparation. Roatan is a beautiful island, and it’ll be exciting to see how it grows, but for now, I’d give this tour 3 out of 5 stars—memorable but with room for improvement.
