Roatan Wildlife at Mayan Eden Eco Park plus ATV Adventure
You will first make your way towards the island’s East End where you will discover Roatan’s diverse species and wildlife on a guided tour, learning about the island’s history and rich culture. This experience includes two fantastic stops for you to observe and photograph the animals at the Mayan Eden Eco Park. Your tour begins at your ship terminal or hotel with a brief city tour, followed by a visit to the Mayan Eden Eco Park to photograph and learn about the animals. Next, you will enjoy a comfortable 20-minute air-conditioned bus or van ride to Politely Bight, our local ATV and restaurant, which serves as your welcome station for the ATV tour. After slipping on a helmet and receiving a safety briefing on riding an ATV, you will take the wheel of your own ATV quad bike and follow your expert guide for an exhilarating 1-hour and 30-minute ride.

BEST tour ever - This was the best tour I have ever done in all of 30 countries I have traveled to. I felt extremely at home and I owe that all to our driver Luger. He was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. The ATV tour made me feel connected with the island and the people. & Luger went out of his way to make sure I got to experience seeing the sloths during my visit. I highly recommend this tour and I also recommend requesting Luger as your guide.

Tons of fun on the ATV's! - We had a great trip with Roatan Henry Tour. The Driver (Trent) was great and his assistant (Brent) was wonderful. The bus ride to get to the ATV's was long and traffic on the island was heavy. Once we got there, we had a blast. The Animal preserver was great as well. We highly recommend this excursion.

So much fun! - We had the pleasure of going out with Brent and Trent for our excursion and had the best time! Brent was so personable and quickly became a la familia! We started on the ATV’s and I’ll be super honest, the helmets need an upgrade and so do the ATVs. They did not offer googles and I’m thankful I had my sunglasses. Once we lined up, I asked to be in the back and the said yes. Once we got going they let me stay further back so I could get the best splash! It was so fun! The ride was a good amount of time and we drove through small villages where the kids were so excited to see you and stood on the side of the road for high fives. My family was soaked and completely covered in mud! It was amazing.
After ATV we went to the animal place and that was awesome too. The only down side was the mama sloth was sleeping so we didn’t get to hold her, we got to hold a baby sloth on a stick. The guy took 1 million blurry photos to get through the line. It was really cool to see and hold all the cool animals.
At the end of the tour they asked for feedback and I gave the same in the first paragraph. Love that it’s a small family business and they treated us like family!

BEST EXCURSION EVER!!! Do it!! - We had the most wonderful day! There was 9 in our group (5 of them being ages 16-22) and we all loved the muddy ATV ride and holding the animals. Trent and Brent were awesome and so knowledgeable! 5 stars! Don't miss this one!!

A day we will never forget! - We had the most AMAZING time today, Trent was our driver and Brent started as our guide and ended the day as our friend! It rained off and on all day, that made the ATV ride more fun. We enjoyed meeting the local wildlife up close and personal. Today was a day we will never forget!

Day well spent in Roatan!! - AMAZING!! Our guide for the day, Derrick, was absolutely fantastic. He was very knowledgeable of Roatan (born and raised) and provided tons of information varying from historic to cultural. Very funny too. Pointed out some great local spots to eat as well. ATVs-our guides were Chris along with his cousin and friend. They took good care of us as we ventured through the villages of Roatan stopping whenever we wanted for photographs. The younger kid helping was a fabulous photographer! Lasted almost an hour and was the perfect amount of time to experience the east side of the island. WILDLIFE-OMG, this was the best interactive experience I’ve had with monkeys hands down. Edwin is truly a guide who knows his animals and it’s obvious how much he cares for them. I really love the Mayan Eden Park as it allows the animals to roam freely while also providing safe comfortable spaces for feeding and resting. Edwin was very knowledgeable about all the animals and made each encounter a special one! Derrick helped us finish our day with a nice meal at a local place he recommended and got us back to the ship with time to spare. I would highly recommend this excursion for a day well spent in Roatan!! Well worth the money!!!

Great time ! - Very great people there , Greg was great ! He went above and beyond with us even took us out the way to get some iguana to eat. All and all 10/10 ! The monkey and sloth tour was great the atvs was also great about an hour ride we enjoyed it a lot !

Excellent place to rent - The guys that rode with us were outstanding. They made sure we were safe as we were riding through the villages and they also answered all of our questions to the history of the towns we went through.

Adventure 2.0, "Turn It Up" - Our Roatan Wildlife Plus ATV Adventure was an unforgettable experience, despite the heavy rain on the day of our excursion. Many cruise line beach excursions were canceled due to the weather, so I was nervous that ours would be too. However, our guide was patiently waiting at the designated pick-up spot, ready to make our adventure happen.
The drive to the ATV location was smooth, even in the rain, and our guide shared a brief history of Roatan, offering local money as keepsake souvenirs. Upon arrival, the ATV instructors provided a thorough tutorial and safety briefing, ensuring we felt prepared. With helmets on and makeshift ponchos crafted from garbage bags, we embarked on our adventure through the gully. The heavy rain added an exhilarating (and slightly terrifying) twist as we navigated the coastline and villages. It was heartwarming to see villagers cheering us on in the rain—it truly made the experience memorable.
After the ATV ride, we visited an incredible animal sanctuary, where we encountered playful monkeys, gentle sloths, vibrant toucans, deer, and more. Being able to hold, pet, and feed the animals was a unique highlight of the trip.
We returned to the cruise ship wet, muddy, and absolutely thrilled with the day’s events. While the van could use some servicing—particularly the windshield wipers—and having ponchos available for rainy days would be a thoughtful addition, these minor details did not detract from an otherwise amazing experience. A little more historical information during the drive would also enhance the trip.
Overall, this was a fantastic excursion, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Roatan!
