Awesome first surfing experience! - This was the first time for my seven year old son and 10 year-old daughter to try some surfing. My son had some reservations as he was a little nervous, but the instructors were wonderful with him. They kept a very close eye on him and worked their butts off 😂 to keep him safe and have fun. My daughter enjoyed it so much it was her favorite thing we did in Costa Rica.

My sons very first surf experience - I learned to surf here 23 years ago, so now I took my 10 year old soon to learn at the same location. The staff were kind, and my sons instructor was very informative and patient with him. He was up surfing on his second attempt, and within the hour he was catching waves on his own. I would highly recommend taking lessons here.

Beginners - The instructors were excellent. Successfully surfing small waves by the end of the lesson. Wish we had more time for the intermediate class!

Had an amazing time surfing! - Second time visiting and taking lessons and I had an amazing time during both visits. Kaitlin is super helpful and welcoming, and answered all my many questions. Our two surf instructor’s were very supportive, informative, and made learning how to surf even more enjoyable. I love Dominical and Costa Rica Surf Camp and I hope to be back again soon!

Great lessons on a great surfing beach - Our group surfing lesson with Gonzalo, Alfredo and Ronny was fantastic. The 2 teens in our party were excited enough to do an intermediate session as well. I've done a previous lesson and this was by far the better experience - the on-beach instruction was great. Having 1 instructor for 2 would-be surfers made for a great ratio.

Fun Family Surf - We took lessons as a family! The instructors were friendly and made us feel comfortable. I wish I could remember all their names- Delan, Alfredo & “Head Instructor” :) Our 10 year old son absolutely found a new hobby and loved the Head Instructor. He was very knowledgeable, he knew how to adapt his instructions and he was attuned to each of us. Our 4 year old wants to see Delan again too. It was a great place and friendly staff. Overall it was a Great experience! Thank you! We will use them again when we are back. -The Mitchell Family

Professional and very thorough - My daughter took two lessons with Gonzalo and had fantastic time. She had a beginner and then moved onto intermediate. She has fallen in love with surfing and Dominical.

Surf lesson with Gonzalo - I took two intermediate surf lessons with Gonzalo. Cesar (the owner) drove us to Dominicalita where the conditions were suitable to my skill level. Gonzalo carefully chose a board based by talking to me about my prior experience and how I have been surfing elsewhere. Once at the beach, he gave me a tons of tips about making a plan, how to paddle out, and work with the given conditions. We reviewed some basic technique and paddled out into the sea. I was non-stop surfing, and every surf I did, Gnzalo had analytical feedback, which I could take in to try differently for the next surf. I got a lot out of these two lessons. He encouraged me a lot to work harder than I normally do, which I appreciate it a lot. After the lesson, sweet pineapples were offered, which tasted sooo good after being in the water for a bit. The camp had variety of boards and Kaitlin and Cesar were friendly. I would come back and take their lessons again.

1st time surfer ! - Great surf lesson for the entire group (7) of beginners ! Really enjoyed the help of the coches. Excellent and expertise very obvious ! Thanks for your patience, devotion, smile and energy : we had a blast and can now understand why it's so much fun to be a surfer !

Great experience but some instructors much better than others - We really enjoyed it and came back for a second day. However, the quality of the instructors and the level of English spoken varies significantly from one instructor to another.
