Adelaide and about - Roger was great to deal with by phone in picking our first tour , to Murray River and lunch cruise with several stops there and back . We were picked up by Di our chauffeur and guide who explained all the localities we visited , she was prepared to stop anywhere we wanted to ( only us on tour ) and suggested places that she felt would suit our interests . We booked a second day trip , again just 2 of us to the coast with an excellent lunch at Flying Fish restaurant and a first class winery tasting at Olivers Taranga ( McLaren Vale 0 , a look at the Dali sculptures at D'Arenberg and other stops suiting our interests. Modern , very comfortable vehicles that made for two excellent days out. Scott & Lizzie Greenland Christchurch NZ

Adelaide Hills Day Out - A fantastic day out exploring the Adelaide Hills. Di was great - heaps of knowledge about the area. We started with a visit to Mt Lofty and then morning tea at Red Cacao. A winery visit then Hahndorf Village for some shopping. We followed this with another winery, Beerenberg Farm and then a cheese place. All in all - a great day checking out the gorgeous Adelaide Hills.

First class experience. - Great Day in McLaren Vale. Di was just wonderful. So helpful when plans were changed last minute. Exceptional professionalism and a customised winery tour. Di suggested some first class wineries which were all amazing. Such a fun day in beautiful surroundings.

Sit back, hang on and enjoy the ride - Great experience, fun, knowledgeable and Roger introduced 4 young adults to the art of wine appreciation. Travel in time back in Mnt Barker, great day and kept everyone engaged. Good local knowledge, good day packages and kept a smile on all our dials. Well Done

Fantastic private food and wine experience - We booked a tour with Ambler through Viator and we were treated with a top notch private curated experience of the Adelaide Hills, McLaren vale and Hahndorf with Roger. It was our 7th wedding anniversary and our first foray back into travel since the pandemic started. Roger made us feel comfortable, with attention to hygiene, and an eagerness to design us the perfect day without the rush of a hectic itinerary; with a focus on what our tastes and interests were to highlight the best sights and tastes of the region. His thorough local knowledge kept us entertained and we even pulled over to help a koala cross the road safely. We got a nice overview of some of what the region has to offer with lots of helpful suggestions on where to go and what to do if we came back. I would definitely book with them again if we are back in SA :)

Fabulous Hills & River experience - It's great being a tourist in our own state. Roger made our Hills, Hahndorf and Murray River cruise a relaxing and informative trip. The door to door service meant we could enjoy the scenery as we're driven to Stirling for breakfast, then a stopover at Beerenberg before arriving at Murray Bridge for lunch on the Capt Proud River Cruise. Afterwards a couple of hours in Hahndorf for shopping and a wine tasting at the fabulous Somerled. The drive home was lovely as headed down towards a gorgeous sunset to finish our wonderful day out. Thank you Roger for a terrific experience.

A special day with Roger - What a special 55th wedding anniversary treat to be picked up by Roger in his extremely comfortable vehicle with only one other couple, and being whizzed up into the scenic Adelaide Hills in their glorious Autumn colours. Here we were introduced to the art of making delicious chocolate at Red Cacao, shown some of the beautiful old mansions in this area, and headed via Hahndorf to Murray Bridge to board the Captain Proud Paddle Boat 3 hour lunch cruise. After the cruise Roger was there to take us to some of his special spots- he knows this area so well and his commentary was most informative, to say nothing of his driving skills through some of the demanding roads in the Adelaide Hills. This personalised trip with Roger was one to be highly recommended, and we look would certainly choose to travel with him again when planning a special day’s outing!

Well worth a visit - Regular public buses from Adelaide, takes 40mins. Relatively small village but plenty of small shops and restaurants/ pubs allowing the visitor to experience the history and enjoy German hospitality.

All A Bit Artificial - Hahndorf is a bit odd as a place. It's half real and half artificial, catering more for tourists than for locals. There's a lot of German-themed pubs, food places and shops here, but it feels a bit as if they're trying a bit too hard. It doesn't feel very genuine as you walk up and down the main drag.
