May is a remarkable month in Córdoba, filled with unique celebrations, making it a wonderful time to explore the City of Three Cultures. A highlight of this period is the traditional courtyard contest, featuring charming locations recognized as Intangible Heritage of the World. From May 5th to 18th, visitors can explore some of the participating patios as local Spanish-speaking guides share their history and legends during the Festival Patios de Córdoba Special Tour.

For approximately two weeks, various courtyards across Cordoba’s neighborhoods are adorned to compete for the title of the most beautiful courtyard, awarded by the City Council. This contest, held for over a century, has become a deeply rooted and popular tradition. It is an excellent opportunity to visit and learn about all their unique features and details.
