We will start this tour with a guided walk among the olive groves of Cres where you will find century old olive trees. - Cres Island - We will meet up with a local family in the olive groves of Cres where we will learn more about the olive picking tradition, hear the local stories. You will also get a chance to help with the harvest.
Although there are machines helping with the harvest, a lot of it is still done by hand like in the older days. The family will show you how everything is done and you can help them in olive picking.
We will also have a snack there as well as presentation and tasting of the olive oil.

This tour offers a comprehensive understanding of the whole process, from gathering olives with a local household and grasping the harvesting techniques to witnessing the production of fresh olive oil in the mill.
Alongside, you’ll be treated to a palatable local snack within the picturesque olive grove and receive a bottle of the prime cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil as a souvenir from your olive harvesting journey.
Don’t forget to wear comfortable attire (layers suggested), closed-toe footwear or trainers. Carry at least a liter of water per head. Wearing a cap or hat is also advised.
