- Plitvice Lakes National Park - Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the oldest and largest national parks in Croatia. In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register. When you get to the entrance, your guide will pick up the tickets, and then you will start your sightseeing. The first part of the path takes about two hours, and it goes from the entrance to the biggest waterfall called ‘Veliki slap’. Then head toward the lake Kozjak where you will make a 45-minute break. Here, you’ll take a boat over the Lake Kozjak, from lower lakes to upper lakes.
When you get to the other side of the Lake Kozjak, your walk continues to the place where you will take the electric train. This electric train takes you from your finish point to the exit of the park. Then depart from Plitvice at around 3pm, and return to Zadar at around 5pm.

Escape the urban hustle with this day-long tour of the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Located in the Lika region, a part of Croatia often referred to as the Devil’s Garden due to its remarkable natural wonder, the Plitvice Lakes are a true paradise on earth. Frequently hailed as one of the world’s most splendid locations, the park’s 16 lakes and cascades are a top attraction and crowd-pleaser in Croatia. But the Plitvice Lakes offer more than just soothing sounds and awe-inspiring vistas. They serve as a cultural enrichment, allowing visitors to learn about the lifestyle and customs of the local inhabitants. Notably, the Plitvice Lakes are Croatia’s oldest national park and the nation’s only natural feature inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The site’s lakes are classified into Upper and Lower categories, distinguished by water enriched with dissolved calcium carbonate, which along with water’s erosive power, forms travertine.
