Next, we paddle out of the bay, around Lind Point and along St. John’s North Shore, past Solomon and Honeymoon Beaches to Scott Beach. It’s approximately a 40-45 minute paddle from Cruz Bay to here. Scott Beach is a beautiful, white sand beach that’s inaccessible by road, which means we often have this beach to ourselves. Just a few yards off the beach, there’s a seagrass bed, which is a gathering spot for sea turtles who feast on the grass. If you’ve never had the chance to snorkel with turtles, this is the place to do it! The water is clear and mostly calm, and the turtles and stingrays are plentiful. We’ll spend about an hour here, snorkeling and enjoying the beach before kayaking back to Cruz Bay.

Our professional guide will instruct you in the basics of kayaking on the beach in Cruz Bay. Next, we paddle to uncrowded Scott Beach, which is one of the prettiest white-sand beaches on the island. There, we will snorkel with sea turtles and stingrays! You’ll learn about the endangered green turtles that feed on the seagrass and nest on the beach. In the summer and fall, the turtles lay their eggs in the sand on this beach and we often see their nests. After snorkeling here and enjoying the beach, we’ll paddle back to Cruz Bay.
