Manatee tour of Crystal river - Alyssa was extremely informative and a great guide. She answered all our questions and even added extra facts to the topic. Was able to see several mamas with their babies. And she was able to steer close to them for us to get good pictures. We also were able to see a couple dolphins and turtles. She also took us to a cove where an alligator hangs out but unfortunately we only saw his eye before he went under never to resurface for our viewing. In all, the tour was very enjoyable and educational.

A Great Boat Tour with Wonderful Wildlife Viewing - On Saturday August 17 I went on the boat tour and it was amazing. There were only three adults and one child on the boat and it was like having a private tour. Captain Alyssa (sp?) was very knowledgeable about the entire area , the wildlife and local lore and history. We visited quite a few springs including Jurassic spring, Hunter spring, Tarpon spring and a few others whose names escape me. To see the location of these underwater springs, which gush forth thousands of gallons of water, is amazing. We nosed into some small areas and saw two gators. At one location a huge manatee swam under the boat and I got some great photos and videos. Bird watching was great too and included cormorants, egrets and a bird I had never seen before, snake birds (Aningha) whose nest was in the top of some bushes on a tiny little hammock. The lore around Lolly Island was fascinating. In the 30s a man and his wife ( the Lollys) lived there and raised 17 children. I am going to try to research their history as it was fascinating. I highly recommend this tour.

The BEST way to see Florida’s water treasures as a family! - What a great way to see the water treasures in Florida! As a family of all ages and abilities, this was the perfect way to spend time together and make a fabulous memory. Captain Alissa was not only knowledgeable, but patient and beyond kind. She made us fall in love with Crystal River almost as much as she clearly is! Thank you for an amazing time!
