A Journey Through Artisan Villages
Cuenca is not only a city of historical significance but also a hub for artisan crafts. This hands-on experience allows you to appreciate the dedication and craftsmanship that goes into each piece. The tour also includes a visit to Chordeleg, where you can browse the many jewelry and handicraft shops, and perhaps find the perfect Christmas gift for a loved one.
“Around Cuenca for a day - The morning started well with a visit to a cafe serving delicious traditional Fritada. Then moved onto Ingapirca which was an amazing and interesting place with both Incan and Cañaris ruins. Wilson our tour guide had excellent knowledge and provided a very informative commentary as we were moving on our tour. The workshop we visited was a superb demonstration of traditional weaving and cloth making. Lunch was excellent and provided by Alhana Hostel which was then followed by a final trip to a local cafe to try rosero juice.” - Reviewed on 2024-10-04
