Highlights
  • Plaza de la Constitución - In Cuernavaca, which translates to “next to the trees,” you can admire the Cathedral, one of the oldest buildings in the country and the fifth structure in Mexico dedicated to the Catholic faith, built in 1529 by the Franciscan Order (a World Heritage site). We will also view the exterior of the Palacio de Cortés, constructed by order of Hernán Cortés in the years immediately following the conquest of Mexico. Lastly, we will see the Monument to Morelos, an insurgent military leader and Mexican patriot who organized and led the second stage of the Mexican War of Independence.
  • Santa Prisca de Taxco - Next, we will visit one of the treasures of the Sierra Madre: Taxco, the “Silver Capital of the World,” a colonial city with centuries of history and one of the country’s “magic towns.” This charming town features cobblestone streets and narrow lanes filled with silver jewelry workshops.

Here, you will have time to enjoy lunch at a place of your choice before we visit one of the largest churches in Mexico: Santa Prisca, built in 1759 in the New Spanish baroque style using local stones.

Taxco is renowned worldwide for its silver mines and is one of the oldest mining centers on the continent, with active mines and a tradition of metal crafts dating back to the colonial era. You will have the chance to see and purchase silverware in this exclusive location.

Do NOT buy this package. - This was NOT a small VIP group of 4 tourists as described on this site. Instead, it was a tour with 17 total tourists. During a PANDEMIC, there was no social distancing at all in the van and not what we were promised or paid for. I am owed a complete refund!
