One of the highlights of a visit to Culloden Moor is the Highlands Tour, which takes place from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on both January 11th and 12th. This intimate group tour offers a chance to delve into the heart of the Highlands, exploring ancient sites like the Clava Cairns and the historic Culloden Battlefield. As you journey through the landscape, keep an eye out for the legendary Loch Ness Monster and immerse yourself in the stories of Highland Clan families. With private transportation, on-board WiFi, and a local guide, this tour ensures a comfortable and informative experience. As one recent review noted on November 16, 2024:
10/5 Stars - If I could give this tour more stars I would. We had an absolute blast and Alastair was an amazing guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the sites we visited and the surrounding area to give us great recommendations tailored to our interests/needs. Not a cookie cutter tour on a jam packed bus where a guide goes on a script. It’s amazing to have a small group and get the feeling you were valued as an individual rather than another seat to fill on a tour. Would absolutely book with them again next time we visit Scotland!
Embracing the Spirit of Outlander
For fans of the popular series “Outlander,” the Outlander Tour offers a chance to step into the world of Claire and Jamie, exploring the sites that inspired Diana Gabaldon’s epic tale. From the Clava Cairns to famous lochs and castles, each stop offers a glimpse into the region’s rich history and cultural heritage.
The tour is designed for small groups, ensuring a personalized experience that caters to your interests. As you travel through the Highlands, your guide will share stories and insights that bring the history of the area to life. A recent review from October 11, 2024, captures the essence of this tour:
Absolutely the best tour of the local Loch Ness sites! - We had a great time with George our tour guide. He gave us LOADS of historical commentary beyond the simple touristy stories about the sites we visited. He adjusted the commentary to suit our interests and was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend Go Highlands for your tour needs.
