Hill Top Delight - Our guide, Tim, did a fabulous job today, both narrating and driving tiny roads in the rain. We were a group of 13, and I think everyone had a great time at Hill Top, on the Windermere cruise, and at Hawkeshead. Pick-up and drop off were on time and easy. Booking was a cinch, and I'd recommend this company for anyone wanting to tour the Lakes. It's lovely to have someone else drive!

Thank you, Peter - Peter Fox, not to be confused with Peter Rabbit, did a great job in spite of rain. It's nice to have someone else navigate the narrow roads and give history of the area. Thank you!

A must do for Beatrix Potter Fans - We enjoyed our half day trip. We booked on Viator and met the guide at the Windermere visitors center (in the town of Windermere); this location also has some nice things to buy as well as loads of information about the area. The visitor's center is hard to miss and the Mountain Goats identification is clear. The staff in the center were very helpful! My impression is that you can also arrange pick ups at other locations; my advice is to make sure you understand where to meet as some of the folks in our group seemed a bit lost. Things got off to a late start because some of those on the tour had a train that was late but the folks in the visitor's center let us know. The length of time was great; we stopped first at The Tarns (some lovely ponds), Hill Top house, and Hawkeshead before taking the boat across the lake. Hill Top was not too busy and the gardens and house are lovely. There were plenty of places to use the facilities and grab a snack or drink along the way. The driver picks you up on the other side of the lake before going back to your starting point.

Beatrix Potter Half-Day Excursion - Even though we were already National Trust members, my husband and I decided to take this trip rather than trying to visit Treetop under our own steam - and I am so glad that we did. It was so well co-ordinated and included a boat trip on Windemere (our driver dropped us off at the pier, bought the tickets and picked us up at the other end) and also entrance to Treetop (again this had to be pre-booked and this was all done for us). Our driver, Phil, was brilliant and took us all rouind the local area relevant to Beatrix Potter and also included a short stop at Hawkesworth. There was so much packed into our half-day excursion that we could never have achieved by ourselves and our driver Phil knew so much on his subject and dispersed his information in a very informative and entertaining way.

Wonderful Relaxing Tour - My wife booked this tour and I didn't expect much of it. We took our 4 children ranging from 9 - 19 years old, and I was wondering if they would enjoy it, since they knew little of Beatrix Potter. I have to say, it was one of the best things we did in England. All of us felt relaxed, educated and immersed in the experience and surroundings. Our tour guide, Peter (Fox), was a great host and pure joy to be with, and his voice lent itself to the countryside and it's calming scenery. The spots we stopped at were great for the kids to run about and stretch their legs, and to get some great family photos. When we make our way back, we will definitely book this tour, again. It was a wonderful day. Thank you, Peter and Mountain Goat Tours.

Half Day Beatrix Potter tour - Excellent half day coach tour, 12.08.24, visiting places related to Beatrix Potter and of interest to us. Tim, our guide, was very knowledgeable, approachable and entertaining during the tour, attentive to his passengers comfort and enjoyment. He was also a very safe and competent driver on the very challenging roads around the Lakes, we felt entirely safe throughout. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Lakes.
