Highlights
- Windermere - Start the tour and meet all passengers at the main pickup point.
- Glenridding - The first stop is in the beautiful village of Glennridding, nestled in the Ullswater valley.
- Ullswater Lake - Stop by the shores of Ullswater for photographs.
Please note: *Due to Kirkstone Pass road closures, the tour will not visit Ullswater or Brotherswater on the following dates:

These tours will still be running as usual but with a temporary diversion route; the duration of your experience will remain the same with another spectacular scenery visit added elsewhere.
- Castlerigg Stone Circle - Visit the ancient stone circle of Castlerigg, thought to be 4,000 years old.
- Keswick - Stop in the charming town of Keswick and explore.
- Honister Slate Mine - Stop at Honister where you will be treated to some of the most beautiful views in the Lake District.
- Buttermere Lake - Buttermere is well known to be one of the most beautiful lakes in the national park.
- Thirlmere - Pass by the man made reservoir nestled in the shadow of Helvellyn.
- Grasmere - Stop in the charming village of Grasmere and pass by the Lake.
- Rydal Water - Pass by the stunning Rydal water.
- Mountain Goat Tours - End your fantastic day tour at your drop off point.

The Lake District in England, a recent addition to the UNESCO World Heritage List, is a sight to behold. As you take in the sweeping landscapes and rugged fells, listen to your guide’s insights on the history, geology, and the influential figures that have shaped this beloved region.
Journey past some of the most stunning views the region has to offer, including Borrowdale Valley, Buttermere, Ullswater, Honister pass, and Grasmere. The itinerary includes numerous stopovers, with the Castlerigg Stone Circle and its breathtaking panoramic vistas being a highlight. Our amiable driver/guide will share informative commentary throughout this full-day tour of enchanting lakes and majestic mountains.
- Children must be over the age of 5 to travel on this tour
- There will be a designated lunch stop where you’ll be able to purchase lunch
- There are toilet stops on route
- Minimal walking is involved
- Our vehicles are not currently wheelchair accessible
- Luggage storage is available at the Windermere Information departure location
- Seats cannot be reserved
- Each passenger must have their own seat
- Please note, the tour starts from Windermere Information Centre @ 9.40am. It is not possible to be collected from a different location once chosen. If you are not at the correct pick up location and miss the tour, we cannot offer alternative arrangements.

Excellent way of seeing more sights with limited time - Excellent. Tour guide was very helpful and full of knowledge of the area. Picked up at 9.55am Ambleside and dropped back at 17.30 so full day experience.

Great overview of the lakes. - The insights into what we were seeing were exactly what we expected. The side routes for better views added to the experience. Having taken many tours, Andy rates among the very best guides we've had the pleasure to travel with.

Stunning lake district in a day! - We loved this tour very very much! Graham was a great host. Knowledgeable and very patient. The weather was great and we had stunning views. We even got to see two extra spots and they were incredible. It's a wonderful tour of almost the entire lake district in a day with bits of history, geography, geology and local stories! Totally recommend it.
I went with my parents who are older and can't walk much and it was great for them to see great scenery on this tour!

Really worth it - Me and my parents went today and it did not bless us with the forecast as it was raining and quite cold.
Despite this it was still an amazing tour around the 10 lakes with amazing views even whilst raining.
Our driver was Dave and he made the trip very good and we were very pleased at the end. Very much worth it

A Fabulous Day - It was fabulous. The scenery was spectacular and we saw so much in the time. The guide Mark P was very knowledgeable and did a great job answering questions and herding the group through the process.

A lovely day spent touring the Lake District - Our tour guide Derek was very friendly and had a good sense of humour. He had a lot of knowledge and passed this on during the tour, lots of stop offs for pictures and a really enjoyable tour.
The mini bus was comfortable and his driving was brilliant considering how narrow some of the roads are.

Excellent and Amazing - Wonderful day. Our guide Graham was very knowledgeable, and made it a memorable day. The tour is perfectly covered in a small Vehicle owing to narrow roads. One of the best part was Ashness bridge and Honister pass.. if possible, please add some more time at Honister Pass, since it very beautiful..!!

Wonderful whistle stop tour of the lakes! - A fantastic way to see the lakes if you don’t have much time. We were only in the area for two nights and so this was a perfect way to experience as much as we could.
Our driver Graham was friendly, fun and informative, would thoroughly recommend!
