FAB Home Interiors Bowness - The 3 hour Ploughman’s experience is a chance to get hands-on, sailing a 10 metre Beneteau Ocenis Clipper ocean going yacht. After a 90 minute sail, we find an anchorage in a secluded Windermere Bay and relax with a fabulous locally sourced and very extensive Ploughman’s.
You can dine on deck if the weather permits, or in the comfort of the spacious saloon.
The yacht is equipped with a bathroom.

Enjoy the privilege of chartering a 10 metre Oceanis Clipper sailboat on Windermere, England’s biggest natural lake.
Take part as much or as little as you desire, or simply relax as you take in the spectacular views and fresh Cumbrian air from the boat.
A richly assorted, locally sourced farmer’s lunch is catered in the latter half of the journey with a plethora of tasty homemade enhancements.
Weather permitting, you may enjoy your meal on the deck, providing vistas that most eateries can only fantasize about. We boast a comprehensively stocked and affordable bar on board, along with free tea, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages.
We also offer private bathroom facilities and central heating!
With 20 years of sailing on Windermere, I have numerous anecdotes to share about the Lake and delight in teaching you how to navigate it on my splendid yacht.

We meet 15 minutes before your start time. We are located at Aquatic Marina, Glebe Road in Bowness, LA23 3HE. We meet by my sign, outside the marine store.. There is a Council pay and display car park opposite. Please allow plenty of time as Bowness is a busy place.

Wonderful Anniversary experience - I booked a Ploughman's sail n dine experience for a Sunday in July for our wedding anniversary. John was fantastic from start to finish - Incredibly responsive, met us bang on time and gave us really lovely food.
The 3 hours went incredibly quickly and we could do as much or as little sailing as we wanted. My Husband loves boats so was happy to do all the sailing and I enjoyed talking to John who knows so much about the local area.
We learnt loads, had a wonderful experience on his boat and John was polite, friendly and courteous throughout.
Absolutely great time and we hope to join him again when we return to the Lakes. Definitely worth the money.

Excellent sailing with Sail ‘n’ Dine - Fantastic morning sailing with John. Highly recommended trip if you’re visiting the Lake District. Ploughman’s lunch and drinks were lovely. John’s knowledge of the area is limitless.

Ruskies Surprise Birthday Gift - We decided to book sailndine as an early birthday gift for our friend. We had the most amazing experience and John was a fantastic host (and Captain). The sailing trip was wonderful as was the sumptuous lunch provided by John. It was so good, we’ve already booked for July 2025. We would highly recommend John and sailndine.

Memories to last forever - 5 star experience. - A excellent private sail and dine experience on the amazing Lake Windermere.
Throughout the booking and on the day itself communications and timings were perfect. We had fantastic weather and plenty of wind which meant my husband could learn how to sail :)
The food was great and drinks a really reasonable price :) we had champagne!
Would recommend to anyone as a special trip and experience for your time in the Lake district.

Windermere at her best. - Absolutely faboulas afternoon on Lake Windermere with Captain John who is very knowledgeable about the area, also, he trusted hubby at the helm.. lovely lunch and home made cake ,pate and pickles. The 'weather god 'was also very kind to us....not a cloud
in sight. Highly recommended.. thanks again to John..

Fabulous day - What can I say!
Such and amazing day sailing on the lake with the wonderful Captain John. His knowledge of everything about the lake is fantastic and he is definitely a host with the most. Looks after you from the moment you first meet. Having the opportunity to sail the boat under the watchful eye of John is one not to pass up. The food was lovely and perfect served on deck with a glass of fizz. We will definitely be back and couldn't recommend this experience enough.

Wonderful Afternoon - Friends booked this trip for us and we are so glad they did! We had a great time. Our skipper John was so friendly and gave a great commentary on the different boats you see on the Lake and tells you who owns the beautiful mansions along the shore which you would never be able to see from dry land. Everyone on the boat was given the option to become “skipper” for a few minutes and sail her but there is no pressure if it isn’t your thing ! After a long sail on the Lake we tied up to a buoy and were served a really lovely meal with beer and wine flowing. It is really a memorable experience and we are so glad we experienced it. Thanks John.

Simply the best way to spend an afternoon..... - What a way to spend an afternoon... John, our skipper was so friendly and made us all really welcome. Very knowledgeable & informative, we had a great time sailing down Windermere learning how the boat works & facts about the lake, it's inhabitants & the surrounding area..
A lovely ploughmans lunch provided too - topped off by the sun shining & a couple of flypasts from the training jets - amazing.

Best day! - We had the best time for my fiancés 30th birthday on sail n dine! There were four of us and we all had the best time. John was an incredible host, super knowledgeable and up for a laugh, food was amazing and catering to one of us being vegetarian was no issue at all.
Sailing was a blast, beautiful views, definitely a core memory experience! If you’re considering doing this, go for it, we can’t wait to book again.
