El Paraiso Tour-social projects, art and good company - Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in a social tour of the Paraíso and Las Maravillas neighborhood, and I would like to share my experience. David, our guide, was exceptional. His vast knowledge of the area, combined with his good energy and photography skills, made the tour a memorable experience. Together with a dear man from the neighborhood, he showed us various parts of the community and the social projects underway. As a sociologist who has worked with informal neighborhood issues in Argentina and Brazil, I consider it vitally important to know and support new projects that seek to improve these communities. I sincerely hope that the neighborhood continues to advance. Children are our future and to achieve social change, we must invest in them and their environments. "The world had advanced so much that time had begun to break everywhere, and in a single day there were air-conditioned houses, artificial water pools, asphalt avenues, and all kinds of advances that alternated with the most remote ones. muddy lands of human misery." (Gabriel García Màrquez). This quote highlights the contrast between technological progress and living conditions in the poorest neighborhoods, reflecting social and economic inequality.

Great tour through a favella in Colombia - We had a MEGA tour, it was a small group - we felt super safe in the Favella and don't want to miss this experience. Our son was injured and had to use a wheelchair - the tour was moved to other streets especially for this. We can really only recommend that everyone do this tour, even with children it's no problem at all. Pickup at the hotel was super punctual!!!

Definitely recommended if you want to get away from everyday life - I loved! I booked this tour because my niece wanted to visit the place where several of her favorite series had been recorded. What was my surprise when I arrived and found a completely renovated neighborhood where its people have been resilient and have created the wonderful community they have today. The ride up the cable car, supremely modern, clean and organized, left me very impressed. While in the community we met with a community leader who explained to us the development and evolution of the neighborhood and its people. A wonder that I definitely recommend for those people who want to get out of everyday life and experience the essence and development of a community. I want to very specifically recommend David, Jairo, Samuel and John who gave us the Tour and made us feel safe at all times. This without mentioning the beautiful views of Bogotá from above. I definitely recommend it and I will return because I want to continue seeing the evolution of the community!

Interesting - Gives you a glimpse of how other Colombias live, gets you out of the zones made for tourist. People there seemed friendly, you can see grafitti art throught out the area. Cable car ride gives you a good view of the area from above. I think the favelas have a bad reputation of being dangerous, but never felt like I was in danger at all.
