Koalas up close - I hadn’t visited in over 20 years and absolutely loved it, there were so many animals to see and different experiences available. The koalas are always amazing here as well as hand feeding the kangaroos and lorikeets, the train is great way to cover the campus. The bird show is not to be missed. I will definitely return again soon

Fun Morning Out - Highly Recommend. Great morning out and easy to navigate between the various areas/animals. The train was out of action when we visited, on a hot day not ideal, but it did help to get our steps up! Enjoyed the many options to get involved with the encounters and experiences, these were all rewarding and thoroughly enjoyed. The team taking the koala photos were all friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend booking the early timeslot (0930) if wanting to hold a koala to beat the queues and the heat. Better yet, the sanctuary is a not-for-profit organization so all proceeds go back to the wildlife sanctuary and nursing for the animals. Would 100% visit again!

Great place to see animals. - Very nice preserve with lots of native animals. We also did the koala experience which was great. We got to spend time in the koala enclosures and learn about them before getting to hold one. Feeding the kangaroos is also loads of fun. We ate at the Homestead and watched the Roos and kookaburras as we dined. The food was much better than normal zoo/attraction fare. Worth the price.

You can hold a koala. - It's great to see how much they're putting into koala conservation. You can cuddle a koala and interact with a kangaroo. There are also various animal shows and athletic events to enjoy. You can also have lunch in the presence of kangaroos.

Great place for Fauna - 100% better than Australia Zoo. Recommend for internationals and locals alike. We will be back. - Fantastic. Great to see so many species of native fauna. Was taking a friend from overseas who wanted to go to Australia Zoo, but due to the time to get there we decided on Currumbin instead. It was a wise decision we saw the best in the bird show, baby Koala enclosure and the Aboriginal smiling ceremony. We got a pic of her cuddling a Koala which sits proudly in her front room in Ireland. I know this is no longer available however seeing the Koala enclosures were just as rewarding. It is well run, with many animals to see. The shoes help with understanding the animals and their behaviours. It was very educational delivered in a fun way.

Not sure if the animals are the priority here. - I’m not sure if “sanctuary” is the best word for this place, more zoo meets theme park and a bit of a tourist trap at $65 each. Also the focus seems to be on guest entertainment (guests handling animals and performing animals doing tricks etc). Not really sure if this is in the best interest of the animals, it didn’t feel quite right to me and wasn’t what I expected.

Absolute waste of Money - DONT waste your money. Cost $189 for 2A 1C to see a bunch of empty enclosures and trees. The train drops you at one end of the park and you don’t see it again. Absolutely disappointing and complete waste of money. How they are allowed to operate and charge these prices to see nothing is beyond me
