Fun jungle excursion that isn’t just a lot of uphill hiking. For those who like adventure! - This excursion is perfect for those who was the experience but not as much of the uphill hiking through the jungle. Edwin was our guide and made us feel right at home from the start. Very kind and took time to answer all the questions we had about the area and history behind Peruvian culture. By the end of the trip we felt he was part of the family. We started our day at the top of a peak where we road bike downhill (on a paved road) weaving in and out of the mountains. We got to take in the sites and it was beautiful. Once we reached our destination, we loaded up in our car to drive another hour or so to a place where we got to white water raft. It was cool to ride the river through the mountains. Day 2 we got up in the morning zip line over the river which was amazing!! Then headed on a 6 mile trek through the jungle. The scenery is peaceful and beautiful (but make sure you wear lots of bug spray. The bugs are no joke). Once at the end, we had a nice dinner and a fun night out with some other tourists in town. Meals are included along your trip and did no disappoint. Every meal was big and full of variety so there is something for everyone. The hosts are kind and very accommodating. In the morning you get up early and head to Machu Picchu. You can hike or take the bus. We chose the bus bc the morning came too early for us lol. You get a guide while at the site. Talk about a serine experience. The sites and history are amazing to take in and experience. You get to spend a couple hours exploring and getting pics and then head back to the town. We opted to take the train back to Cusco to save a few hours of windy mountain roads in a van.

Highly recommend this adventure - We thoroughly enjoyed the Inca Jungle Trek. It was an exhilarating adventure filled with diverse activities—mountain biking, river rafting, ziplining, hiking to Aguas Calientes, and, of course, visiting Machu Picchu. If you're physically fit and have a taste for adventure, we highly recommend this unique way to experience Machu Picchu. Since we didn't have tickets for Machu Picchu beforehand, the tour company was flexible and adapted the itinerary. We ended up ziplining on day two, which allowed us to set out early on day three, hike to Aguas Calientes, and secure one of the 1,000 on-the-spot Machu Picchu tickets. This level of adaptability was much appreciated. However, there were a few issues worth noting. We paid for the river rafting footage but initially did not receive it. Thankfully, the company stepped in, helped us get in touch with the provider, and we eventually received our photos. Communication between the tour operator and the companies handling each activity could be improved. We found ourselves having to reiterate key details, such as our lack of Machu Picchu tickets, which led to some confusion. I recommend confirming all important points with your guide to avoid any misunderstandings. It's also important to note that while the tour price was advertised as all-inclusive, there were additional costs that we weren't fully prepared for. For example, after an exhausting first day of mountain biking and rafting, we had the choice to either hike two hours uphill in the dark or pay extra for a pick-up that would take us there in about an hour. There were also other unexpected expenses, such as fees for river crossings on the second day, an early bus to the train station, and differences in the Machu Picchu ticket price. Additionally, although all meals were included, water was not, and we had to buy it at a premium in remote locations. We recommend bringing a filter bottle or extra water, especially for the first two days, to avoid overpaying. Despite these minor setbacks, we would still highly recommend the Inca Jungle Trek to future travelers. Just be sure to come prepared for a few unexpected expenses and to communicate clearly with your guide to ensure a smooth experience.

Good agency - we did 2 tours with Edwin, one to the sacred valley and another to machu picchu. Both were organised very well and especially on the machu picchu tour there were people around that specifically came to guide us to where we had to go. Would recommend Edwin!

Best experience in South America - The last four days have easily been the best experience we've had in our four months travelling in South America. We chose the jungle trek because it was something a little different to the pure trekking we've done elsewhere and it really didn't disappoint. This was made 100 times better by our amazing guide Juan Carlos who had brilliant knowledge of the history of the Inca people as well as helping us understand and appreciate the traditions and beliefs of both the Incas and current native Peruvian culture. We also had many stops along the way to taste all the varieties of fruits and to learn more about the more sinister vegetation in the jungle around Cusco. Will be recommending this to absolutely everyone!

Amazing trek, great guide, good food! - Amazing trek through the jungle. It could get really hot at times, and be aware of Mosquitos, but worth it! Every single day was filled with other activities and let's just say from bathing in hot waters to zip-lining everything was amazing. Would I do it again? Yeah. When you arrive in Machu Picchu that is just one of the most amazing feelings in the world!

Great experience! - Our tour overall was very well organized - Edwin in particular made sure that we had all the tickets we needed, including the best Machu Picchu entrance tickets and train tickets back from Aguas Calientes. Other travelers in our tour group used different companies and had a LOT more problems, so we were very grateful for Edwin organizing ours so well! Only complaint is that we were paired with tour guides who were a bit uncommunicative/confusing about the plans each day. But overall we had a fantastic experience, the activities were all fun (especially the rafting), and we got to see Machu Picchu before all the crowds arrived which was spectacular :D
