Beautiful hike! - This was a tough hike, but we loved it! Sam Travel Peru did a fantastic job. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited, and the food was amazing.

Main Inca Trail - I would give more than five stars if I could. I was recommended this tour company by a friend and could not have been happier with them. Our tour guides, Dayvit and Maribel were phenomenal. Both were incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Everyone in the group hiked at different paces and the guides were happy to be accommodating and make it work for all of us. Machu Picchu itself is of course an absolutely incredible place; well worth the four day journey to get there. Possibly the highlight of the entire trip though was the food. Our chef, Fortunato, cooked us amazing meal after amazing meal. We got to try a variety of authentic Peruvian dishes and not a single one disappointed. If you’re considering doing the Inca Trail, I highly recommend SAM Tours.

The Most Amazing Trek! - This was such an amazing trip! From the get go, SAM travel was very organized and our pre trip briefing was very comprehensive. The trek itself was a once in a lifetime experience. Despite the challenge hiking at altitude, the views made it well worth it. Our guide Christian made this experience awesome as he had such great local knowledge about the area, history, and local flora and fauna. He was very supportive along the way and kept us updated regarding plans for each day. Our chefs Julio and Raul were great and each meal was so delicious! Thank you also to our horsemen Victor and Raul for all their help. I would highly recommend this trek.

Auqui is the best! - The good stuff: We were lucky to have Auquia as our tour guide on our 7 day trek. Edison and Chella cooked us the most amazing food we’d ever had with the smallest amount of equipment. We had a great time learning so much from Auquia about the Incas at the different archeological sites. We asked so many questions and he had the answer to them all. He also helped me learn a lot of Spanish. The not so good stuff: There seems to be a bit of un organisation in the office side with Junior. We ended up having to set off from our hotel at 9pm the night before we were supposed to leave due to a strike in Cusco. Junior sent me an email at 11am on the same day we needed to leave letting me know this, except we told them we wouldn’t be able to go to the briefing until late at night that day due to us going to rainbow mountain and not having any internet. I understand it was last minute but they knew the day before we found out which meant a rushed beginning to our trek whilst setting up tents in the rain at 2:30am after a 4 hour drive.

Top Salkantay trekking experience - We had a great tour with our tour guide Grober! The tour was well organised and a flexible itinerary made it the best possible trip for us accounting for weather and walking preferences. Grober was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was fantastic, our chef Hidio prepared us a variety of dishes catering for the 3 out of 4 of us that were vegetarian. We were also given snacks at the start of each day (which we barely needed) so we were very well provided for. Overall the tour was a great way to see the surrounding environment from mountain lakes to jungle, culminating in a guided tour of Machu Picchu. I would recommend SAM Travel 100%

Beautiful vistas and great staff - We had an amazing trip doing the Salkantay trek with Grober! He was really accomodating in making sure our group got the best possible experience doing the trek! He knew so much about Peruvian and Incan culture, nature and history which he shared with us along the way. Hidio made us delicious food along the way and was a soup master. It's great to choose a Peruvian owned company like Sam Travel and we absolutely loved it!
