Cusco - Manu National Park

Cusco - The journey begins with an early morning departure from Cusco, heading towards Paucartambo, where breakfast will be served. The adventure continues as the Andean landscapes gradually transform into Amazonian terrain.

The descent into the cloud forest offers a chance to spot Peru’s national bird, the cock of the rock, with the guidance of an expert. This stop may also reveal sightings of Capuchin monkeys and other wildlife.

Paucartambo - The expedition proceeds to the heart of the jungle, arriving at the Atalaya river port by noon for lunch. A boat ride on the Alto Madre de Dios River follows, providing opportunities to observe the diverse flora and fauna.

A change of boats precedes the journey up the River Palotoa in a Peke peke (small motorboat), navigating against the current for an hour.

Manu National Park - Arrival at the TREEHOUSE INN marks the beginning of a three-day stay. Guests can settle in and explore the surroundings. Dinner is served in the evening, followed by a night jungle tour, where encounters with caimans, frogs, and other wildlife are possible.

Macaw Clay Licks and Jungle Adventures

Manu National Park - The second day starts early with a visit to the Macaw Clay Licks, where vibrant macaws, parrots, and other exotic birds gather. This spectacle is a highlight for bird enthusiasts and nature lovers.

After returning to the lodge for breakfast, the day continues with a guided jungle walk, exploring the depths of the Manu Amazon. The trek, lasting about two and a half hours, may include sightings of sloths, tapirs, and anteaters, along with insights into medicinal plants from the expert guide.

Return to Cusco

Manu National Park - Following breakfast, the journey back begins with a scenic boat ride to the Atalaya River Port, offering final views of the river and jungle.

Paucartambo - Upon reaching the port, ground transportation will take guests back to Cusco. The drive through diverse landscapes provides time to reflect on the incredible experiences in Manu.

Cusco - Arrival in Cusco is expected around 6:00 pm, with seamless transfer to the hotel, ensuring a comfortable conclusion to the adventure.
