One of the Best Experiences in Cusco! - A visit to this animal sanctuary will forever be one of my most treasured days of my time in Cusco, Peru. My tour guide was Albert and he has the biggest heart taking in these animals and caring for them so deeply. I got to see (and in some cases interact with) deer, monkeys, alpaca, llama, condor, puma, an Andean bear (!!!), and tropical birds. I highly recommend and encourage supporting this animal sanctuary if you are stopping in Cusco. Added bonus = the drive to/from is spectacular!

Best animal sanctuary! Please support - When booked this tour because we wanted to support an animal sanctuary and not animals that are abused and used for tourism. We booked this tour right coming off our flight to Peru. Albert the owner of the sanctuary was very attentive and considerate. He offered if we wanted to go back to hotel to acclimate to the attitude, however , since we were feeling fine- they picked us up from Airport. Albert made it very easy for us and arranged a private driver to grab us from the airport with a sign. From there we drove up to the animal Sanctuary. Albert greeted us and was an excellent tour guide. You can tell the animals all really love Albert and take really great care of them. We came for mainly the alpacas but was so pleasantly surprised to see rescued deers, monkeys, bears, pumas, parrots, etc. they really focus on the conservation of the condors which are endangered in Peru with only 700 left. We loved the interactions we got to get from the alpaca , llamas, and also got to play with the monkeys. I would highly recommend supporting this animal sanctuary over supporting animal abuse and tourism! Such a highlight of our trip To Peru.

Awesome experience!... - Awesome experience! Picked up at the hotel by a very professional taxi driver and driven directly to the sanctuary where I received a private tour with one of the owner. Book the earliest time as I arrived during feeding time and all the animals were out.

Worth the Trip - This rescue center is a wonderful place and worth a visit. While the stories of what has happened to some of the animals is sad, you can be reassured Alberto and his family and volunteers are giving these animals their best life. This was a great way to learn about some of the native animals of Peru and support a local sanctuary at the same time.

Visit this place - The tour was awesome because I got to see animals I never would have seen otherwise. To be able to see Andean condors fly, pumas, bears and other animals was memorable. My tour guide was very knowledgeable & passionate about the care and preservation of the animals. I loved it.

People working to help animals! - We were given a tour and got to feed llamas, alpacas and tropical birds. Alberto and his staff truly care about the animals. Alberto told us the history of most of the animals there and how they would either be rehabilitated for release back into the wild or kept at the sanctuary for the rest of their lives if they were too domesticated for release.

Great experience! Loved it - The driver was friendly and picked me up right on time. When I arrived I was greeted with warm and inviting energy and proceeded to go on the tour of the sanctuary. Every animal had a story of rescue and looked to be in quite good recovery. Some will be released to the wild, but some not due to lack of skills or too deep an injury. I got to stand beside a 60yr old Condor, and hang with some monkeys as they ate seeds from my hand. If you love meeting new animals and want to help support the sanctuary, this tour is a great way to do it! Highly recommend!!!

Adorable Sanctuary - The sanctuary is adorable and doing such important work. Everyone who works here is so sweet and clearly cares deeply for the animals. We loved meeting each one of the rescued souls and hearing their stories. Very grateful they have this sanctuary to be rehabilitated or live out the rest of their lives.
