The Cathedral of Cusco is the culmination of several projects by different architects who were surveyed in front of the works. The first cathedral of Cusco is the Church of Triumph, built in 1539 on the foundation of the palace of Viracocha Inca. Today, this church serves as an auxiliary chapel of the Cathedral.
The Coricancha (in Quechua: Quri Kancha, “golden temple”) is a significant political and religious temple.
Sacsayhuaman is the fortress where the Incas worshipped the sun in this temple for religious ceremonies. It is believed that tens of thousands of people gathered for special festivals, offering tributes and participating in certain types of pilgrimages.
Finally, the tour will visit the iconic sites of Qenqo, PucaPucara, and Tambomachay.
