Just beyond the southern border of the city of Cusco lies a spectacular valley teeming with magnificent scenery and notable archaeological sites. Notably, the famed Saint Peter’s Church (Andahuaylillas), often referred to as the American Sistine Chapel, is recognized for its stunning religious artwork, Baroque-style paintings, gold-leaf framing, unattributed images from the Cusco School, and mesmerizing murals. The Pickillacta site amazes visitors with its incredible urban design comprising over a thousand structures, including temples, colcas, and multi-story buildings constructed by the Wari. Our tour concludes at Tipon, home to a remarkable Water Temple featuring meticulously designed hydraulic channels and agricultural irrigation systems. The tour’s overall duration is 6 hours, approximately from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
