Great excursion from Cusco - Alex was a fantastic guide and we had a great driver as well. Breakfast and lunch were both pretty good buffet options.

Beautiful - Beautiful lake! Our guide Nilton told us some history about the area. sad to know that it took only several years for the glacier around the lake to disappear. Rough path going up.

Beautiful place - Absolutely beautiful. I booked the optional horse ride and it was good. Quickly shoot your photos/videos as clouds and fogs shift quickly.

Breathtaking Views - The lake was just beautiful and even more beautiful if you go the extra 100' up after you get there. The clouds parted and we were able to see the majestic Salkantay and Asungate? Humantay? mountains behind the lake. Spectacular. The breakfast/lunch spot had some of the best food we ate on the entire 10 day trip to Peru. Nice variety, and lots of flowers decorating the walkway and restaurant. Good hike with views all the way. My husband and I (63/58) hiked it with our 5 children, 3 spouses and a grandson (1) in a backpack. Got our passports "stamped" afterward which was fun. Driver was excellent. Bumpy roads are not his fault and the van seats were comfortable. Not sure how the guide divides the tip, but I hope the driver got his share. A very long day with the drive. I wouldn't plan another long day right after it.

Beautiful place, but lack of guide - Difficult trail but the view is beautiful. Incredible! When descending there is also a risk of skidding. We missed more assistance from the guide during the experience, one person in the group fell and almost sprained her foot and the guide was not present to provide assistance. Could you provide more directions along the way...
