- Humantay Lake - we pick you up from your hotel between 4:30 to 5:00 am, then a 4-hour-drive to Soraypampa (3850 m.a.s.l.). In Soraypampa we will have a delicious breakfast to start our day well before beginning our trek. - Humantay Lake - we pick you up from your hotel between 4:30 to 5:00 am, then a 4-hour-drive to Soraypampa (3850 m.a.s.l.). In Soraypampa we will have a delicious breakfast to start our day well before beginning our trek. In Soraypampa we will start our trek up to the Humantay Lake (4200 m.a.s.l.) with beautiful views and if the sky is clear enough, we can see the impressive snow-capped Salkantay and Humantay. It is a 1.5-hour-walk to the lake with a low to moderate difficulty, and more than worth it when you see the magical view. It is also possible to rent a horse instead. We will have enough time to take pictures, bring an offer to the Apus, and for the real brave ones; swimming in the lake when it’s sunny! After some free time, we will start our descent to Soraypampa of about 1.5 hours, which is a lot easier than the way up. In Soraypampa lunch will await us and after some rest we return to Cusco where we will arrive around 5 p.m.

Excellent. - Excellent! Amazing ride! Everything perfect! Climbing quite difficult, lack of air, but the landscape at the end of the track is surreal! Worth every step...❤️

Excellent service - It is a magical place to visit, the organization of the tour with MEGA was great since they have excellent guides, transportation and food.
Throughout the entire experience, from the information to the tour, I always felt welcomed by the magic of each of the people I interacted with.

My Humantay experience - The experience is magnificent, however you must consider the height and the physical demands it demands, the guide SONIA is very friendly, and is attentive to you at all times, I highly recommend it. Nixon, the virtual assistant, was attentive to us at all times and even gave us a video call days before the excursion for questions and suggestions.

highly recommend! - highly recommend! professional, thoughtful, and helpful. we had a great time and they made sure everything went as well as possible. note, the bus ride is a little rough, so bring Dramamine!

Amazing experience - It was an incredible experience and a dream come true to be able to visit the humantay lagoon, Mega expeditions gave us the necessary support for this. We had breakfast and lunch, which were good, the guide was friendly and told us interesting facts about the place. Very grateful. I highly recommend

Amazing experience on the lake - The communication could not have been any better. This company was GREAT. They are there for you 24/7. The lake was also unbelievably beautiful.

Bad experience-Good luck - On 16th of June I was supposed to go to the excursion of Laguna Humantay-Cusco,Peru as I had reserved. A bus came to pick me up from my hotel in Cusco and after some time the guide informed us that we are going to another excursion (rainbow mountain). After informing her that the wrong bus picked me up, she and the driver told me to get down of the bus. It was 5 am in the morning in a big street in Cusco region where they just saw a car with somebody inside - not a taxi-just a car parked!!!- and they told him to drive me to the bus that I was supposed to be. They also told me to hurry up because they were running out of time! So I was in a car of stranger in a random big street in Cusco region and it was still dark. I insisted before getting inside the car to have a phone number that i could be in contact until the “taxi” driver gets me to the right bus. I was scared, alone, trying to contact my hotel informing them about what was happening. Finally I got to my destination but my whole day was ruined. Mega expeditions is the company with which i travelled. I had heard good stuff about viator and it turned out that i had a very bad experience and this incident was unacceptable!
Fortunately I was lucky enough that nothing worse happened and I somehow managed to enjoy the excursion later..
