This route is new and ideal for those who are looking for a contact with the nature. Humantay is located in the district of Mollepata, in the snow-covered mountain of Salkantay . It’s here where the trekking starts. This is a short uphill route and the altitude is over 4,300m.
Itinerary:
Pick up at from your hotel in a private transportation then u will travel in the van for about 3 hours till Mollepata, here is our first stop for breakfast, then continium for one more hour till the second point to start our hike.
The trekking takes around 2 hours until the highest point located over 4,000m above sea level. On our way you will appreciate the snow-covered mountains of Salkantay.
Ones arrive to the lake, you will spend for at least one hour to enjoy this beautiful view and rest. At the end of the visit we will go downhill until the start point take the van and return to Mollepara for lunch. Finally return to Cusco arriving around 18:00hrs near to the amin plaza regocijo.
