Inca Trail - 4 day - Did the 4 day Inca Trail and it was fantastic. Our guides Christian and Sharon were always helpful and knowledgable. The communication from the company leading up to the trip was clear. The team of porters had everything ready at the camps each day without fail. And the chefs made nutritious food, if not too much each day! Recommend to do some training in preparation - the hike up to 4,200m was tough. Also, be aware that toilet facilities are basic most of the way, mostly squat toilets but that's all part of the Inca Trail.

Outstanding Inca trail experience - One of the best hiking experiences of our lives. Our guide Frank was an absolute legend, super informative about all the Inca sites we visited and very easy to get along with. The porters and chef Daniel deserve medals for the work that they did to assist us to complete the hike. The food was outstanding and far exceeded our wildest expectations. 10/10, would do again.

Great itinerary and tour company - We had a worthwhile experience and I highly recommend booking through this locally-based tour company. The staff were professional and well-organized. We attended a debriefing the evening before the journey began, where we were given detailed information about the day-by-day itinerary and a reminder of what items to bring. Difficult treks were front-loaded and there was plenty of time to rest before arriving at Machu Picchu. Our guides, Edy and Sergio, were responsive and knowledgeable about the history and culture of the region. In addition, the porters (lead porter Venedicto) and the chef (Eulogio) made sure everything was ready for our arrival at the campsites so that we did not have to wait long to eat or relax at the end of each day. Entry tickets to the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu, as well as the train ticket back to Cusco, were provided for us. We appreciated not having to do additional planning for the trip besides just showing up with our supplies. One detail that we did not anticipate was that the staff leave on a separate train for locals on the last day and are not available to guide the group during the train-boarding process. Due to language barriers with the PeruRail staff, we missed our train. We were not offered any refunds or exchanges by PeruRail and were forced to purchase new tickets to get back to Cusco. Fortunately, after communicating with the tour company, they were able to reimburse half the cost of the new tickets. We appreciated their responsiveness regarding this incident. Overall, we are very happy with our decision to go with them.

Passing on the brilliant recommendation - We had such an incredible time on this trip. Our guide Edy Puma was fantastic, from his historical knowledge on the archeological sites to his wisdom on the trail itself. He took such wonderful care of us all, ensuring a fun and safe experience. The food was next level! We have done a number of multi day hikes, including Kilimanjaro and Annapurna base camp, but the meals on this trek were above and beyond anything else we have experienced. Amilcar and Beto cooked up a storm every day!! So so brilliant. We were also extremely well looked after by all the porters. Juan’s team was excellent, from our Coca tea every morning to our hot water for washing — not to mention the comfort we enjoyed simply having to put one foot in front of the other on each hike, while they carried all our belongings and set up our camp every day — our only priority each day was to enjoy ourselves. We met a group of hikers on the W trek in Chile who recommended this company for the Inca Trail, and we’re so glad we took their advice. I just hope someone else will read this review and decide to book with Trexperience — you won’t regret it.

Amazing experience of the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu - An amazing trip. A big thank you to our fantastic tour guide, Edy Puma. He shared so much information on the way with us, and was a great guide. The food was incredible - thanks to Amilcar and his team. We even got a beautiful cake on the final night! And finally, a big thank you to Juan and his team of porters. They were amazing, carrying everything and cheering us a long every step of the way. Such a great team. Thank you! I’d definitely recommend TreXperience to anyone looking to complete the Inca Trail.

4 day trek - The trip was well organised. The schedule was kept to. We were quite lucky with weather, too, and it barely rained. Hotel pick-up was easy. They drop you off, too. The food was very good. Amilcar was the chef. We were very well fed throughout. Porters appeared to have good gear for the trek. They were also professional throughout. They also weighed the gear ahead of time to make sure they were overloaded. We were also told they have a union, which is important. Guide was also very good. Eddy Puma. Instructions were clear, good outline of the history, flora and fauna. It brought a lot to the trek. We also got a briefing the day before we took off, which was very helpful. I would recommend this trek/company to others.

Highly recommended - There is no doubt this is a very tough hike, but it was made much easier by the Guide, Chef and supporting team. Our guide Juan de Dios was simply amazing. He was such a lovely person and great at his job. He was passionate about his heritage and culture and very knowledgeable about all things Peruvian. For me, he made the experience first class. Chef Rolando pulled off amazing food and I am still not sure how given the constrictions they have to work with, the quality, quantity and presentation was some of the best I experienced during my 3 weeks in Peru. I am still in awe of the Porters and what they carry over the terrain to make our lives comfortable. I never thought I would be extoling the virtues of a portable toilet but believe me it was something to be very grateful for, given the toilets in the campsites are very grim. All in all, one of the most amazing experiences that I will never forget and it is to be highly recommended.

Amazing experience - It was amazing, we had wonderful food and tents and renting material was great. Our guides Klever and Sergio were amazing and looked always afterwards. The only thing I would recommend is to choose a different timing - December is full of rain.

Once in a lifetime trek - Our group of 11 headed out with 2 guides and 19 porters. The tents and campsites were amazing, set up before we arrived each day. The food was excellent, cooked fresh even in the heart of the jungle. Clever our guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and got us all through safely and comfortably. Can’t recommend more.
