The performance scenario is written in Quechua by Faustino Espinoza Navarro, who for many years has represented the Inca. The contestants take their role very seriously and the show is a riot of colour, music and dance. With more than sixty years of existence, the new Inti Raymi is now an integral part of Cusco life. A representation of this ceremony takes place every year from Qoricancha, then the Plaza de Armas and finally the Sacsayhuaman fortress. For the representation in Sacsayhuaman, a paid ticket is required at your own expense, which must be reserved at the time of registration.
