Highlights

CUSCO – YANACOCHA

Conde Travel - Early in the morning we will travel by bus until reaching the town of Calca, after a break we will continue for 3 hr. to Qiswarani (3 700 mt.), along the way we will see beautiful landscapes. At this point we will meet our horsemen and get our gear loaded on the mules and horses. Later we will start trekking going up the mountain to reach a beautiful lagoon (4 200 mt.), after a break we will hike for some more to get the pass of Hualcacassa; characterized by great views of some snow capes and lagoons. Afterwards we´ll descend into a quiet area to have lunch. Later the group will go through the pass of Qolqecasa (4 200 mt.), until reaching Yanacocha to camp.

YANACOCHA – MANTANAY

Cusco Cathedral - Before starting our trek we´ll eat some breakfast. Later we will start our journey for 2 hrs. going through picturesque Andean villages, later we will start to ascend for 3 hours until reaching Auroracassa (4 600 mt), the highest point of the route, where we will rest, and later we head down to the campsite at Mantanay.

MANTANAY – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES

Cusco Cathedral - After breakfast, the group will start the trek going through amazing landscapes and different farms until arriving at Yanuara, where we will have our lunch, Afterwards we walk for two hours to Pumamarka and enjoy the Inca terraces from which we will be taken by bus towards Ollantaytambo. Here we will catch the train to Aguas Calientes and the group will spend the night in a hostel. *Depending on the weather, a possible show over traditional textile and weaving practices can take place

AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

Hot Springs (Aguas Calientes) - We will wake up at around 4 am. to start our trek toward the archeological site of Machupicchu, once there our professional guide will lead the group through the citadel during 2 hours (after, you will have free time to explore it by yourself). On the afternoon, according to the schedule of the train back to Ollantaytambo, travellers will go to Aguas Calientes to wait for the train. * Remember to be there at least 30 min. before departure. Once in Ollantaytambo, our private bus will take you back to Cusco. The journey finishes on the main square.

Lares trek with José! - We really enjoyed the Lares trek. A trek where you can see the real life in Peru. Our guide José knew a lot and really enjoys to learn you everything he knows. He made sure we had the best experience possible!
