What a pleasant surprise! - Wow, what an amazing surprise the Planetarium was!? The visit was part of an organised tour we were on, & to be honest, I didn’t know what to expect, but gee what a pleasant surprise! From start to finish the entire evening was fantastic, with the staff being extremely helpful, explaining all the stars outside, as well as handing us blankets as it got quite cold! The indoor section of the visit in the domed viewing room was exceptional, with the presenter giving us so much info in a fun & interesting way. Cannot recommend the Cusco Planetarium highly enough, & would tell anyone going to Cusco to put it on their list.

Unexpected, unforgettable experience - This is a very different but fulfilling activity to do in Cusco. There is so much to learn about the sky. We learned how the Incas and other people used the sky to navigate and predict weather conditions. Chanda and Johanna are so passionate about their work and it shows. Don’t hesitate to check them out.

Fantastic experience with lots of learning - Lovely experience at the planetarium. We learned a lot, not just about space but aso about Peru. Even if you don’t know a lot about astronomy, this is still a fascinating experience. We were lucky enough to see the moon, Jupiter and Saturn! Even in the rainy season. I highly recommend a visit here to anyone staying in Cusco

Such an interesting and fun family experiece - We went to the Planetarium for my son his 9th birthday and he loved it. Lots of information about the constellations and how the Incas used the skies to predict weather events, and to count months of the year for agricultural purposes. Of course looking through the telescopes outside and seeing specific star clusters, and even Saturn was amazing! Really fun evening with staff who are very enthusiastic, knowledgable and engaging with a touch of humour as well. A fantastic evening, I highly recommend this experience for families!

See Saturn and star constellations above Cusco! - Excellent presentation in a small planetarium up in the hills above Cusco. Lots of information about the constellations and how the Incas used the skies to predict weather events such as El Niño, and to count months of the year for agricultural purposes. Best part was looking through the telescopes outside and seeing specific star clusters, the Milky Way and even Saturn! The staff were all very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining. A fantastic evening, highly recommended!

Fun evening activity in Cusco! - We had a lot of fun. Perfect if you are looking for something to do from/in Cusco that doesn't include hour long bus journeys. Short drive from the centre to the planetarium. It's small and not high tech, but still interesting. The guides were very enthusiastic and provided the information in English. We were also able to see 3 constellations though real telescopes, which was amazing! I would recommend it. Bring warm clothes, no joke !
