Highlights
- Cusco - The day begins very early, with pickups between 03:00 a.m. and 03:30 a.m. directly from your hostels or hotels in Cuzco to Cusipata.\n\nThe initial drive will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.\n- Cusipata - The first stop will be in Cusipata, for 30 minutes, to have breakfast. \n\nFrom there we continue onwards with our journey for another hour and a half, passing through the village of Pitumarce, until Hanchipata-Llama Chimpana, where the hike starts.\n- Ausangate Peru - You will begin the walk at the foot of the Ausangate mountain range and make your way up the mountain for approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. \n\nWe will then arrive at the highest point of the Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) and the best place to see the incredible colors and the Ausangate snowy peak.\n- Vinicunca Mountain - This will be the highest point on the mountain, you will have the opportunity to see the different types of South American camelids (relatives of the camels). \n\nWe will also have the chance to visit the red hill, where we will have time to soak in the scenery and take some beautiful pictures. Please be aware that the red hill entrance fee is not included in the price of the ticket. \n- Cusipata - Stop at Cusipata for lunch\n- Cusco - You will finish the hike with a 1-hour descent into the flat terrain and back to where the walk began. \n\nThere, the driver will be waiting for you to return to the District of Cusipata where you can enjoy 1 hour of a delicious traditional lunch. \n\nFollowing lunch, we will return to Cusco, arriving at approx. 3:30 p.m.

Amazing travel agency with awesome tour guide. - Our Guide CARLOS was awesome, knowledgeable and on time. He took us to rainbow mountain before crowd comes in. Provided nice breakfast and lunch included..our experience was awesome with rainbow mountain travels. We definitely recommend this travel company.

Magnificent Rainbow Mountain - I am so glad I get to see this magnificent nature art. I did not hike to the top but rented a motorcycle which was the best decision for me since I experienced altitude sickness the minute I got to the top. Overall from the pick up at our hotel, the breakfast, the climb, the lunch and the drive back to our hotel was an enjoyable experience. The tour provided was detailed and well organized. I will book my future travels with them.

Exceptional! - The team was amazing! The tour offered a very good breakfast and lunch. They kept us motivated to climb the mountain and helped us the entire time.

Highlight of our Peru experience! - This day trip was INCREDIBLE. Yaki was an amazing tour guide, she made sure we had all of the info we needed, lead an fantastic tour, made sure we were all feeling good and answered all of our questions about the native culture. Sergio’s driving was top notch! Part of the fun of this trip is the breathtaking drive to the mountain. Sergio drove with great precision. We felt safe on the very high roads. To top it off, restaurant Vinicunca provided a delicious breakfast and lunch, the staff were wonderful.
This trip is not to be missed. It is a total bargain for the price. The 3am pick up is well worth getting to the mountain first! Cannot recommend enough.

Don't miss this tour!! - The tour was excellent. Erika, our guide, was always attentive to us during the trek to the top of the mountain. Beautiful landscapes!! Breakfast and lunch service with varied and delicious options. Thanks Rainbow Mountain Travels for the service👌🏼

Memories of Ranbow Mountain - Amazing Adventure!! Definitely go on the early trip. We left at 3am and arriving at Rainbow Mountain before the crowds wasweld worth it. Our driver, Mr. Nino was the best on the steep mountain roads, Our tour guides Roxana and Elena stayed with us from pick up to drop off. We received a Whats App text the night prior to reconfirm pick up and reminder of necessary clothing. Breakfast in a local spot fueled us for the day!! Roxana and Elena shared the history of the mountain, at 14,500 ft above sea level they made sure we were feeling AOK!! I recommend the donkey ride :-)) Thank you for a memorable trip

I will never forget this experience - An unforgettable experience! Angel and Erika are geniuses, always attentive to what we needed! They pick you up at your hotel very early and you are one of the first to go up and contemplate that unique beauty. They gave us breakfast and lunch when we got off!
