• Vinicunca Mountain - Hotel pick-up is scheduled between 4:00 and 4:30 am, followed by a roughly 2-hour drive in our tourist vehicle to the town of Pitucarca. Here, we will prepare for the hike and enjoy breakfast at 6:30 am.

We will then begin our hike to the Rainbow Mountain, with the first part taking about 1 hour to reach the Vinicunca viewpoint. From this vantage point, you will have a stunning view of the snow-capped Ausangate and the colorful Rainbow Mountain. After some free time for photos and to take in the beautiful scenery, we will start our descent back to the village of Pitunarca, where a delicious lunch awaits us. We will then return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:30 pm.

For those who prefer not to hike, horse rentals are available for added comfort.

The Rainbow Mountain in Peru, also referred to as Winicunca, is breathtaking and located in the remarkable Ausangate region. To witness the Rainbow Mountains, a trek of at least 6 days is required, with 3 hours each way up and down the mountain. During this journey, travelers will encounter charming villages, picturesque adobe-style houses, and herds of llamas and alpacas, all while enjoying magnificent views of Ausangate Mountain, which stands at 6,385 meters (20,945 feet), the tallest mountain in the Cusco region.
