- Apu Andino - Day Tours - Begin your adventure in Cusco with an early pickup at 2:15am, followed by a 3-hour drive in a private van to the trail’s starting point. A hot breakfast will be provided at the trailhead to energize you for the hike. The trek to “Rainbow Mountain” will take approximately 3-4 hours, depending on your fitness level.
- Vinicunca Mountain - As you journey, you’ll hike through a lush green valley with stunning views of Ausangate Mountain in the distance. Along the way, you’ll experience local mountain life and have opportunities to interact with the residents. As you approach Rainbow Mountain, you’ll start to see the colorful mineral layers that give these hills their unique appearance. Your guide will explain the geological formations of Rainbow Mountain and motivate you for the final ascent to a viewpoint offering a 360-degree panorama of this sacred landscape.
Enjoy some well-deserved snacks at the top and take a moment to absorb the breathtaking views. After about an hour, you’ll head back down to the trailhead (2.5 to 3 hours), where a delicious lunch prepared by our private chef awaits. Then, you’ll return to Cusco, arriving at your hotel around 7pm.
