Well-organized and memorable trip - I owe the crew much for such a well-coordinated journey to Machu Picchu. Starting with the timely pickup, our guide and driver were excellent, which made the journey to the train station entertaining and educational. We had the appropriate time at each of the well considered stops along the road. We arrived to Aguas Calientes following a picturesque train ride and were driven to a fantastic hotel. With the guide presenting amazing information and allowing us time to appreciate it at our speed, the Machu Picchu tour was fantastic. The Vistadome train return was such an interesting adventure. This excursion was absolutely well scheduled overall!

A fantastic tour filled with history, culture, and stunning landscapes" - The two-day tour was a perfect mix of adventure, culture, and learning. Wilbert was our guide, and from the start, he impressed us with his deep knowledge of the region and his passion for the history of the Incas. Our first stop was in Chinchero, where we had the opportunity to meet local weavers who showed us how they create traditional fabrics using natural dyes. Feeding the alpacas was such a fun experience, especially for someone who loves animals like me! The next stop was Moray, and the view of the circular terraces with the Andes as the backdrop was breathtaking. Wilbert explained how the Incas used these terraces for agricultural experimentation, and it was fascinating to think about their innovative practices. The Maras salt mines were another highlight, with thousands of salt ponds covering the hillside like a patchwork quilt. After enjoying a delicious buffet lunch at Tunupa, we explored the impressive ruins of Ollantaytambo. The history of this place, especially its role in resisting the Spanish conquest, was brought to life by Wilbert’s storytelling. The train ride to Aguas Calientes was the perfect way to end the day, offering us time to relax and enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery. Day two was just as exciting, with a guided tour of Machu Picchu that exceeded all our expectations. Walking through the ancient ruins and imagining what life was like for the Incas was a truly moving experience. This tour was more than just sightseeing—it was an immersion into the heart and soul of the Andean world." "An epic journey through Peru’s ancient wonders"

Incredible Machu Picchu Adventure - We could not have demanded a better Machu Picchu trip! Julio, our guide, was really outstanding. His perfect English and thorough awareness of the history of the site made every moment perceptive. The tour moved at a good pace, and he was quite patient in responding to all of our questions so that we would know the value of every spot. Thanks to Jonathan, our competent driver, the trip went without incident. Should you be planning a trip, I strongly advise asking Julio to be your guide and working with Cosmo Expeditions. Plan the Vista Dome Observatory train for an additional treat—totally a bucket list activity!

"An epic journey through Peru’s ancient wonders" - This tour was an absolute dream come true. Julio, our guide, took us on a two-day adventure that showcased the very best of Peru's history, culture, and natural beauty. Starting in the Sacred Valley, we visited Chinchero, where local artisans demonstrated traditional weaving techniques. It was fascinating to see how the vibrant colors were achieved using only natural ingredients, and I even bought a small scarf as a souvenir. Feeding the alpacas was a delightful bonus! From there, we went to Moray, where the concentric terraces stood out against the stunning backdrop of the Andes. Julio explained the agricultural significance of the site, and it was incredible to learn how advanced the Inca civilization was. The salt ponds at Maras were a sight to behold, with thousands of glistening pools stretching across the mountainside. Our lunch at Tunupa was a delicious buffet with an impressive variety of Peruvian dishes, and I enjoyed trying some new flavors. Ollantaytambo was the final stop of the day, where we climbed the ancient terraces and admired the views from the top. Julio’s insights into the site's history during the Spanish invasion added depth to our visit. The train ride to Aguas Calientes felt like a scene out of a movie, with towering peaks and rushing rivers accompanying us along the way. The second day was the highlight—standing in Machu Picchu at sunrise was like stepping into a different world. Julio guided us through the ruins, sharing fascinating details and helping us understand the significance of the site. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. This tour is a must for anyone visiting Peru—it was truly the adventure of a lifetime."
