Amazing area and an awesome add-on to your rainbow mountain experience - The Red Valley is a hidden gem next to Rainbow Mountain, with awesome views of the valley and the surrounding mountains. Samuel showed us around and in addition taught us so much about the animals living in the area and about how his Inca heritage relates to this place. Can definitely recommend, though make sure you are well acclimatized by doing some other high-altitude hikes first. That way you will get most out if the experience!

Awesome experience and awesome pictures and videos - This was a great tour, Samuel has a lot of experience and knew the best spots to take pictures with out having to wait in line. Talking about photos, we were impressed on the awesome pictures he was able to take from us. The hike is short but do to the altitude it makes it really hard. We never felt pressure form our guide he will wait for us to recover and would tell us to go at our own pace Samuel has a great knowledge which he was really excited to shared with us. He was also genuinely interested in our culture so we had a great chat about both cultures.

Experience you can't skip! - Amazing experience with Samuel! It showed us the way for the 7-color mountain and then we continued to the Red Valley. You can tell that Samuel knows what he does and is inexpert on the subject. He also took the time to explain the whole story and take thousands of pictures! Really what an amazing experience!

Away from touristic path (as much as possible) - Couldn’t recommend more reaching Vinicunca through the red valley instead of the super touristic direct path. Way more challenging, way more rewarding. Shoutout to our guides to be extra caring with those experiencing altitude sickness!

Amazing. - It was amazing, visiting him with Samuel was a great decision. We could see the Red Valley completely alone and we knew how to transmit its magic. The mountain of 7 colors is beautiful, but it is true that it is very crowded, that is why I recommend 100% do both!

Don't miss the Red Valley! - The views of Vinicunca Mountain and the red valley were incredible. We did the tour with Samuel, a very well-trained local guide who taught us this unique region with a lot of passion. He also helped us with altitude sickness. He even made us a photo book!

100% recommend! Great trip!! - Everything is well organized and you get to spend a good amount of time on Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley. Highly recommend visiting both, as they are so close to each other and different beautiful landscapes. Also, a wonderful opportunity to be close to llamas and alpacas. We appreciate Samuel who was a wonderful tour guide and led us through both sites and offered to take a lot of pictures for us!

Unsafe and unprofessional - The tour was highly critizable and it did not live up to the decription on Tripadvisor at all. The so-called guide did not guide at all. He barely spoke 3 sentences on the entire tour. We were picked up 1 hour later than scheduled. When we finally arrived to the Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley, the guide rushed us to walk fast, and he did not walk with us at all. He just pointed out which way to walk, and then he left. He did not tell a single fact on the entire tour and he just showed us photos on his phone of the different viewpoints - he did not show us any of them, which led the group to missing out on more of them and even getting lost. It felt very unsafe and unprofessional. It would have been nice with at least some guidance on how to handle the altitude and the symptoms. On our way back to Cusco, the guide was very busy making stops for picking up his girlfriend, dropping her off and shopping for fruits. The guide jumped off the bus 1 hour before arriving to Cusco and left us with the bus driver who could not speak a single word in English. The minivan was a disaster. It was old and very dirty. Only 10 minutes after leaving Cusco, we had to stop for gas and a flat tire. There were no functioning seatbelts, which combined with very dangerous mountain driving, is highly critizable. The engine stopped functioning two times uphill on the narrow mountain roads, and on our way home, all of us had to help pushing the van to start again.
