The Bana Hills, towering at an elevation of 1,487m from sea level, records an annual mean temperature range of 17 to 20°C (62.6 - 68°F). Remarkably, a single day in Ba Na encapsulates all four seasons: spring in the morning, summer at mid-day, autumn during the afternoon, and winter at night. A distinctive feature is that the clouds hover at the middle level of the mountain, leaving the summits perpetually visible. Ba Na is adorned with lush forests and green pine hills, making it the location for a previous French resort established in the early years of the 1920s. The resort used to have 200 villas, dining places, and social clubs. The agreeable climate, pristine forest, and breathtaking views over the East Sea and Lao mountain range made Ba Na an appealing retreat for the French and affluent Vietnamese.

The Ba Na cable car line, recognized by Guinness World Records, holds two world records: the longest single wirer cable car system (5042.62m).
