Hue in a day! - We loved this trip! We were a bit daunted by the thought of 10 hours but we saw so much and our guide Hue was so informative we had an amazing day. And lunch was a Vietnamese banquet of very delicious treats. Definately worth the money.

Day trip to Hue from Hoi An - Full day tour from Hoi An. The views from Hai Van pass were great then a nice stop at Lap an logoon for short visit to fishing village and coffee break. Then onto Hue to visit the impressive Citadel. Lunch was really good. Finally to pagoda and royal tomb before heading home. Both our guides were informative and helpful.

Excellent Tour and Guide - The tour was good. The pickup was timely, and the Guide explained everything in detail. We are vegetarians, and they provided a good vegetarian lunch in the restaurant. The guide explained everything in detail and answered all our questions. I highly recommend it.

Recommended - but be prepared for a long day. - Recommended - but be prepared for a long day. This was a terrific tour, but it does take about 12 hours all up (when doing it out of Hoi An) so be prepared for a very full day. But that aside, the tour was great and very informative. The trip to Hue (plus the various stops along the way) was great and gave a real insight into some of the culture, living standards and history of Vietnam. Definitely worth taking.

Nothing special but a booking confirmation problem - Booking problem: I booked the tour through a social networking app called Zalo and contacted the manager personally. Everything was booked and I even checked to confirm the trip the day before, but on the scheduled day - No Show. The manager didn't even pick up when I tried to call her but later that day she got in touch and it was rearranged the next day. Luckily I was able to rearrange my plans to fit it in. Highlight: The tour guide Trang kept the trip interesting. She was hospitable, caring and good at time management to make sure we got back on time and that there was no wasted time hanging out around or that we stayed at place for too long. Disappointments: The lunch could have been specialties of Hue like Bun Bo Hue or something else from Hue but instead it was a general asian meal. It wasn't bad but I would have liked to have tried food from Hue. The places you visit, for me, weren't anything special or interesting, a tomb, a pagoda and a huge ancient old palace but I can't blame the tour operator for that!

Our guide was terrific —... - Our guide was terrific — knowledgeable with great energy. The three sites were good, especially the tomb. The problem with the tour — and this isn’t the tour’s fault — is that Hue is about 3 hours from Hoi An, so it’s a very long drive. (If you’re in Danang, the drive is two hours, which is definitely more manageable.) On the way there, you stop in two spots with beautiful views, On the way back, it’s a straight three hours without even so much as a bathroom break. Visiting the three sites is definitely a bit rushed. I don’t mind that — I move quickly — but others might feel a bit shorted. I just don’t know that two of the three sites warranted a three-hour drive. The citadel, though beautiful, is mostly rebuilt and not original. The pagoda is very pretty, but not much different than others in Vietnam. The tomb, however, was the one site that was worth the drive. The lunch stop was a highly rated restaurant in Hue with a set meal. It was solid for a tour meal, but not overly spectacular or interesting. I was glad that this tour didn’t stop anyplace where they push tourists to buy things. This was solely viewing the historical sites and two nice viewpoints. With the two viewpoints along the drive, please be aware that they may not stop along that route if the weather is bad.

nothing special - The places visited were not so exciting. The guide talked a lot, often in the full sun. The van used for transport was uncomfortable. The trip was too long for me.
