Definitely worth it! - The experience met and exceeded our expectations! The instructor was very helpful and nice, and spoke English, Japanese and Chinese which was needed for this multinational group. The dishes were fun to prepare, everything was already measured out and we went step by step through the recipes together as a class. The staff took pictures throughout the process and airdropped them to us at the end. We also received a certificate of completion with the recipes in our language of choice.

A highlight of our trip in Taipei - My partner and I had a fun and fantastic time with this Taiwanese cooking experience. I have done many cooking classes/ demonstrations when travelling but this is honestly one of the best. The cooking environment is so clean and everything was easily prepared and set up for our arrival. We did the XioLongBao and chicken vermicelli class, which was great. Victorian and Vivian were on hand to carefully explain the history of the dish and the ingredients being used. I want to reiterate that this is a proper cooking course it was very 'hands-on'. We also had no issues with the language barrier and could understand everything in English. I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone who has immensely enjoyed Taiwanese food and wants to know how to try to recreate it back home. Thank you so much, Vivian and Victoria, for our trip's wonderful end. It was lovely to meet you and will return for more cooking when we are next back in Taipei.

I was really nervous at... - I was really nervous at first because I was alone and very early but as soon as they greeted me, they made me feel comfortable already. It was also very helpful to have a very friendly translator beside us for those who don't understand the language and Miss Jennifer is really very nice, actually, all of them are! The food and ingredients are high quality and I want to recreate that here at home hoping I could find the ingredients but if not, they told me to look for the best possible substitute I could find, for example, the tofu noodles and rice wine. I hope I could re-create it here with a thumbs up. I really enjoyed my time and the food since I am a foodie after all. It made me realize that in every country I visit, I should join cooking classes. Thank you for this opportunity, the delicious recipes and nice people at CookingFun Taiwan! I am an introvert let's say so being in a group of people that I didn't know was awkward for me. Hearing the group of friends entertaining and talking to their Canadian friend made me feel a bit included as well because I could understand what they were saying haha! But it is normal for me not to include myself or talk to people unless I was spoken to. Some of the ladies talked to me and asked me questions so that was also nice that the group of friends were really friendly as well.

Highlight of My Trip - Pros: Small classes One on one instruction English and Mandrain spoken Teachers are kind, friendly and patient Female owned Strong emphasis on fresh and healthy food Cons: None Bottom Line, Would I go again? Yes, most definitely This cooking class was one of the highlights of our vacation in Taiwan. The teachers taught us how to prepare and cook our food and were very patient with those of us who were new to cooking. There was an empasis on healthy food as the owner of the shcool began her own cooking journey by cooking for her son who had health issues. Even though we were hesitant about our food, they came out looking great and tasting even better. Would go again. Please don't be shy to ask to take the food to go if you can't finish it. It's a compliment!

Happy cooking lesson with good returns 滿滿足足的烹飪課 - The cooking school is spacious and comfortable. Due to Chinese New Year, the market nearby was still closed and I got partly refunded for not able to go for the market visit. I was the only student in the class. I felt so good with full attention without paying the fee of a private class. Vivian, the owner as well as the instructor, was very professional and friendly. I made a full set of Taiwanese meal with Xiao Long Bao (dumpling), Chicken vermicelli with mushroom and sesame oil, tofu salad and a bubble milk tea. Vivian was very thoughtful and with my request, she helped to change the ingredient from pork to chicken meat for my Xiao Long Bao. Vivian taught me the secret in making Xiao Long Bao. The whole set of meal was very good and delicious, and the learning process was very enjoyable. Also, I need to thank Vivian for her kindness in giving me 3 surgical masks, especially under the current Wuhan corona virus situation that I could hardly find any mask available for sale in Taipei.
