- Kumbhalgarh Fort - Located on the banks of the Banas River, the impressive [Kumbhalgarh] fortress is a historic citadel that took Rana Kumbha 15 years to construct. This remarkable human creation features a domed palace and 36 km of winding walls, which protected the citadel with a series of battlements, second only to the renowned Great Wall of China.
The fortress is protected by seven towering gates, and the steep walls are wide enough for eight horses to march side by side. For years, it served as an impregnable refuge for Mewari rulers during times of crisis and stands as a vigilant sentinel. However, it was a monumental task for Rana Kumbha and his men to bring such a creation to life.
- Ranakpur Jain Temple - The Ranakpur Jain Temple was constructed during the reign of the liberal and talented monarch Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. The basement spans 48,000 sq. feet, covering the entire complex. It includes four subsidiary shrines, twenty-four pillared halls, and elegantly domed structures supported by over four hundred columns. There are a total of 1,444 intricately carved columns, with no two alike. The artistically carved nymphs playing the flute in various dance postures at a height of 45 feet are a captivating sight. In the assembly hall, two large bells weighing 108 kg each produce a sound that resonates throughout the complex. The main temple, known as Chaumukh or the four-faced temple, is dedicated to Adinath.
