Best Way to See the Real Dakar - This is hands down the best way to get an authentic taste of life in Dakar. This is not run by a tour company, but rather one guy who has lived here all his life and wants people to see what the daily life is like for someone who lives here. Malou picks you up on his motorcycle and takes you to several markets to see how the locals shop, try classic Senegalese food from multiple small and hidden places, and show off several cool places where locals work, hang our, or relax, all while giving his perspective on what it’s like to live here and the challenges/advantages that come with it. The majority of the tour you will spend time in places no other tourists will ever go. I’ve taken dozens of tours from all around the world, and this is the only one where I truly felt like I got an experience that showed what life truly is like as a local. I cannot recommend this enough.
