- Le Monument de la Renaissance Africaine - Standing at 52 meters and crafted from copper, this monument depicts a muscular man emerging from the crater of one of the Mamelles hills. He is shirtless, holding a child in his left arm while embracing a woman with the other. Access is via a grand staircase of 198 steps. “The man, the woman, and their child face the sun, symbolizing the continent’s openness to the world. It represents a force of propulsion and attraction in Africa’s greatness, stability, and sustainability,” explains President Abdoulaye Wade, who inaugurated it on April 3, 2010.
- Mosque of the Divinity - Constructed in 1997, the Mosque of Divinity is located in Ouakam, Senegal. Featuring two minarets, it offers a view of the Atlantic Ocean, situated near the shore at the Corniche-Ouest.
- Sandaga Market - Established in 1935, Sandaga Market’s architecture is reminiscent of the Arabian Sudanese style of Timbuktu in Mali. Its decoration blends Arabian and African styles with arabesques and geometric designs.
- Presidential Palace - The Palace of the Republic, the residence of the President, is a historic manor in the Plateau district of Dakar, Senegal’s capital. Built in 1902, it was once the official residence of the Governor General of French West Africa.
- Marche Kermel - The Kermel Market, a stunning building from 1860, features a beautiful round wrought iron and brick hall inspired by Arabic design. It was destroyed by fire in 1994 and rebuilt identically in 1997, now classified as a historical monument. The large clock at the entrance used to signal the market’s closing at noon. At Kermel Market, one can find a variety of food products, attracting Westerners seeking the city’s finest offerings since its inception.

The Museum of Black Civilisations - The museum has two main objectives:
- To establish a non-ethnographic museum, not solely dedicated to primitive arts or commemorating the continent’s slave past.
- To showcase the vitality of the entire African continent through “cultures and civilizations of the black worlds.”
- Grand Mosque of Dakar - Designed by French and Moroccan architects, the Great Mosque of Dakar was inaugurated in 1964 by King Hassan II of Morocco, who funded its construction. The minaret stands at 67 meters. The mosque is richly decorated both inside and out.
- Marche Artisanal de Soumbedioune - Founded in 1961, this village offers insight into the craftsmanship of the country. Artisans, organized by professional category, display a wide array of sculpted works. There are also various leather goods (cow, snake, goat, crocodile) and jewelry available.
