Da Lat City Tour (SIC Tour)
Thien Vien Truc Lam - Founded under unique social circumstances, this Zen school aims to revive the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen School established by King Tran Thanh Tong. It beautifully integrates various Zen traditions with Vietnamese culture, creating a distinct Vietnamese Zen. The Truc Lam Zen Monastery is situated within a protected forest spanning 23.2 hectares, with 2 hectares dedicated to its structures.
Tuyen Lam Lake - As the largest lake in Lam Dong, Tuyen Lam Lake covers 320 hectares, with its scenic surroundings extending over 2000 hectares. This area is a major tourist attraction in Da Lat, drawing numerous visitors. On August 30, 1998, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism recognized Tuyen Lam Lake as a historical-cultural site.
Datanla Waterfall - Located midway along Prenn Pass, about 5km south of Da Lat’s city center, Datanla Waterfall cascades from a rocky cliff 20m high into a deep pool, creating a picturesque and enchanting scene. Visitors can enjoy the natural beauty and experience the thrill of an alpine coaster ride through the pine forest and flowers.
Bao Dai’s Palace - King’s Palace 1 (Dinh 1) - Situated 3.5 km southwest of Da Lat’s French Quarter, Bao Dai Summer Palace is located on Trieu Viet Vuong Street near the Pasteur Institute. It houses many valuable and well-preserved artifacts, including sculptures of the royal family, a large white bust of Bao Dai, and an engraved glass map of Vietnam. Visitors can explore all 25 rooms of the palace, stepping back in time to learn about royal history.
Dalat Flower Park - The Da Lat Flower Gardens boast a vast collection of native and exotic flowers, earning Da Lat the nickname “the city of flowers” in Vietnam. Established in 1966, the gardens feature over 300 different types of flowers, many of which bloom year-round.
Statue Of Golden Buddha - The golden statue of Sakyamuni Buddha holding a lotus symbolizes the Buddha in the Linh Son Dharma Conference, representing the philosophy of ‘existence in nihilism’ in Buddhist Zen. Constructed on April 14, 2002, under the guidance of superior Buddhist monk Thich Vien Thanh, the statue stands 24m high and 20m wide, with the right hand holding a lotus. This reflects a Buddhist story where, during the Linh Thuu congress, Sakyamuni Buddha raised a lotus, causing silence and bewilderment among the assembly, except for Kassapa Buddha, who smiled. Sakyamuni Buddha then said: “I have the eye of Dharma, Noble Mind of Nirvana… those I gave to Kassapa.”
