Arrival Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Dar es Salaam - Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly greeted by your safari guide and transferred to the hotel. The drive to the hotel takes about an hour. After checking in, there will be no scheduled activities, allowing you to relax until dinner and overnight.

Drive from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

Mikumi National Park - No wake-up call today. After you wake up, pack your safari bag and head to the lodge’s restaurant for breakfast. You will then leave the hotel and begin the drive to Mikumi National Park. A picnic break will be taken en route. The drive to Mikumi National Park takes approximately five to six hours. Upon arrival, you will go on a game drive in the park before proceeding to the lodge in the evening. After checking in, you can enjoy the lodge’s amenities while waiting for dinner.

Mikumi Park to Iringa Town (Chief’s Mkwawa City)

Mikumi National Park - After breakfast, you will depart for a morning game drive in Mikumi. Following a picnic lunch, you will drive to Iringa town.

Iringa to Ruaha National Park

Ruaha National Park - Pack your safari bag and place it in front of your room before heading to the restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast, you will be driven to Ruaha National Park with packed lunch boxes. A picnic break will be taken en route. The drive to Ruaha National Park takes about five hours. Upon arrival, you will go on a game drive before proceeding to the lodge in the late evening. After checking in, you will wait for dinner.

Full day in Ruaha National Park

Ruaha National Park - In the morning, have breakfast and then start a game drive through the park with packed lunch boxes. A picnic break will be taken at a scenic spot within the park. Continue the game drive until evening, then return to the lodge for sundowners.

Ruaha Walking Safari - Drive to Morogoro

Ruaha National Park - You will be guided on an early morning walking safari with an armed ranger in Ruaha Park for the best wildlife, bird, and natural experiences. Return to the lodge for breakfast.

Morogoro Region - After breakfast, you will be driven to Morogoro via Iringa and Mikumi National Park with en-route sightseeing. Lunch will be taken on the way. Spend the evening at leisure in Morogoro.

Morogoro to Nyerere Park (Selous Game Reserves)

Nyerere National Park - Pack your safari bag and place it in front of your door before heading to the restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast, the drive to Nyerere Park (formerly known as Selous Game Reserve) will begin, with lunch boxes packed in the safari jeep. A picnic break will be taken en route. The drive to Nyerere Park takes about five to six hours, with local experiences along the way. Upon arrival at Nyerere National Park, you will have a game viewing while heading straight to the camp.

Full day Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere Park)

Nyerere National Park - After breakfast, you will start a full-day game drive in the park with packed lunch boxes. A picnic break will be taken at a scenic spot in the park. Continue the game drive until late evening, then head back to the lodge for sundowners.

Boat Safari Experience

Rufiji - After breakfast, you will be guided on a morning boat safari along the Rufiji River to explore the flora and fauna. Return to camp for lunch and leisure before heading out for an evening game drive.

Nyerere National Park - After lunch, you will be guided on an evening game drive in Nyerere Park until sunset. The park’s history and mystique add to its attractions. It was named after Frederick Courtney Selous, a renowned explorer and British Army Officer in the Royal Fusiliers, who was killed in combat along the Rufiji River, which flows through the park. Today, it is named after Julius Nyerere, the first president of Tanzania, widely regarded as the father of the modern nation-state.

Departure

Dar Es Salaam Region - No rush. Enjoy your farewell breakfast. After breakfast, you will leave the lodge with packed lunch boxes and start the drive to Dar es Salaam. A picnic break will be taken en route. The drive takes about four to five hours. You will be dropped off at the international airport or seaport for a fast boat to Zanzibar.
