Mikumi National Park - Our accredited guide will meet you at pick up point and he will drive you to Mikumi national park via Morogoro.
Following breakfast, we leave Dar es salaam for our first stop at Mikumi National Park a 6 hours drive from Dar via Morogoro Refreshments and light snacks will be provided en-route.
We will arrive in Mikumi national park at 1:00 pm. This often allows one to see the animals at rest, seeking shelter from the unrelenting heat under the branches of large trees.
A leisurely lunch will be served inside the park. The remainder of the day will be spent inside the park.
The day concludes with checking into the Park cottages and a brief rest before leaving for an afternoon game drive until sunset
We return to the cottages where dinner awaits us at the restaurant between 7:00 and 8:30 p.m.

What sets Mikumi apart is the massive buffaloes population. The biggest member of the antelope family presents a remarkable sight as they feed in the meadows, and the park’s vast assortment of birds (over 400 species) make it a haven for birdwatchers. Big cats like lions and leopards can also be observed.
