Dar es Salaam to Mikumi

Mikumi National Park - Picked up from Airport, Ferry or Hotel and drive directly to Mikumi national park we stop at Morogoro for lunch then still have the journey to Mikumi national park it use almost 6 hours to Mikumi national park after arrival to Mikumi national we will start an evening game drive till the sunset and then return to the cottages for dinner and overnight at Mikumi Bandas.

Mikumi National Park - After breakfast we start full day game drive to spotting animal in Mikumi national park and feature of Mikumi national park is plain so you have the abilities to sport a lot of animals. Mikumi national park it host Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Impala, zebras and so many wild animals, We get lunch to the picnic camp sites which are found to the Mikumi national park. After the Lunch we will head outside the park to the Masai Village for Cultural tours and on evening we will hgo to the Camp Bastian Lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Dar es Salaam - Early morning breakfast after breakfast drive back to Dar ea salaam via morogoro town. On arrival in Dar es salaam you will be dropped at the ferry for last ferry to Zanzibar/Airport or Hotel.

Mikumi National Park is Tanzania’s fourth-largest National Park and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam. Within its 3,230 sq km. Its set between the Uluguru Mountains to the north and the Lumango Mountains to the south-east. Mikumi hosts buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions, pythons, zebras, leopards crocodiles and many more just to mention a few.
In this safari tour you will get a moment to explore a real safari in this unfenced park and get a taste of Tanzanian culture by visiting a Maasai Village near to Mikumi National Park.

Breathtaking Safari with a great guide - Our three-day safari with Kihindo Tours was truly breathtakingly beautiful. Not only were we incredibly lucky to see all kinds of animals on the two days of our safari. Our tour guide Michael was also really nice. On the one hand, he was able to give us a lot of information, but on the other, he also gave us plenty of time to simply marvel at everything. The evening and early morning safaris in particular were really worthwhile. The accommodation booked by Kihindo was great and the food was really delicious. The visit of the Maasai village was also an amazing experience.

Perfect from start to finish - We had a really great tour from start to finish. The driver and guide, Isaiah picked us up from our apartment at 5am so that we would get to Mikumi before midday and we had game drives on all 3 days. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was very friendly, answering all our guestions. He was able to get us close to all the animals, including lions. We also had a great visit to a real Masai village. Winnie was also great in arranging the tour to whatever personal schedule we wanted and answered all our emails very promptly. I would highly recommend this company to anyone considering a tour.

Amazing safari experience with the nicest team! - My colleague and I did 2 days-1 night tour with Kihindo Tours. Micheal, our tour guide, is no doubt one of the nicest people ever! He was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions with his smiley face, explained to us a lot about Tanzania and the Tanzanian culture, and of course showed us all the animals we hoped to see. We got so lucky and were able to see lions (even a hunting one), elephants, giraffes, crocodile, hippos,.. and even a leopard! We definitely feel very very lucky to have Micheal as our tour guide! Winnie had been so nice throughout the whole before-after the tour process. She helped us a lot during the booking, always checked on us if everything was okay during the safari. She even met us at our hotel at 4am when the car came to pick us up! Peter drove us back to our hotel in Dar Es Salaam. It was really interesting to talk to him as we learned a lot from him about the Tanzanian culture, families, music, etc. Overall, we highly recommend Kihindo Tours! Very comfortable and friendly service!

Friendly and faultless - cannot recommend enough! - Winnie was so helpful going above and beyond to make the organisation and start of the trip incredibly easy, including speedy communication, airport transfers, hotel recommendations, last minute activities and getting a sim card no stress at all. All of the team were very welcoming, caring and knowledgeable on a wide range of topics. Isaya anticipated every comfort and made journeys laidback and interesting. Godfrey was a great guide on safari, adapting to our wishes and finding great spots to see the unbelievable wildlife. The landscape of Mikumi National Park is well worth a visit and we were lucky to see lots of elephants and lions. It is also more accessible than other parks in the rainy seasons. The included accommodation at Camp Bastian was luxurious, comfortable and clean and there was a wide range of delicious food served at the buffets. I cannot recommend Kihindo Tours and Safaris enough! You can really rely on them to have a trip of a lifetime.

One amazing experience - I had a lot of expectations but this tour exceeded them all. We saw so many animals, our guide Gaston showed us as many things as possible and gave a lot of information, the hotel was super pretty. This was an amazing experience and I recommend this tour. Also don't get scared about the rainy season in December because there was almost no rain when I was there.

Amazing experience - Very good communication from Winnie from the start when trying to arrange the tour. Felt the tour was very good value and well organised. Isaya was an excellent guide and very efficient for the 3 days tour. Godfrey was also good driver and navigated around the park well. Excellent service, accommodation and tour. Location was amazing with lots of animals to see. You will not regret booking with this company
