Unforgettable Safari - Dream to reality with Kihindo Safard, booked for 3 days from Dar es Salaam. Things went smoothly all the way. Our guide Abel was excellent and he provided us with an unforgettable experience. I will definitely recommend him to my friends who are planning to have a similar trip later. We were also lucky to see very many animals such as giraffes, elephants (also babys), lion, crocodiles, hippos, zebras, water buffalo etc. We stayed in Mloka Safari lodge. We felt very welcomed with nice and friendly people around. Place was nice and clean with private bathroom.

Excelent Nyerere safari experience (from Dar es salaam) - Asante sana! I booked a safari for my family (me, my wife and 2 adult sons) from Finland. Booking was easy and everything was as promised and all went very smoothly. We had a boat safari, one full day game drive and morning walk on the last day. Already on the boat safari we saw much more than expected. Our guide Abel was fantastic. During game drive we saw much more than expected. We definitely feet that we got the best safari experience we could have hoped for. Our accommodation was at Mloka Safari Lodge. Place was pleasant and service and food was great. Personally I appreciated cold beer after long days. If I am going to have another safari in Tanzania, I will get from Kihindo.

Incredible feel of Tanzania - My husband and I did the safari tour for our honeymoon and we loved it so much! It was very well organised! We enjoyed it a lot, the food was great, value for money was incredible and the staff were all so lovely. Our tour guide Guston was well knowledgeable about the animals and quite passionate which made our experience better. We had so much fun hanging out with him over the course of 3 days. Winnie was also great to deal with when making the booking and she was quick to respond to all of my queries. We would highly recommend this tour to others as well. Beautiful country, people and animals!

Core memory - I can say that the whole Kihindo safari experience we had on the mainland of Tanzania was a 10/10. We took a ferry from Stone Town, Zanzibar and when we arrived to Dar es Salaam, our guide was already waiting for us there. There is a 4-5 hour drive to the Mloka Lodge, and although part of the road is bumpy, honestly, it was not something that unenjoyable. The lodge was very clean, it had an authentic vibe and we had all the necessary amenities. The food was delicious- all of the meals were tasty and well cooked by the experienced chef they have. The overall staff was very nice, helpful and always smiling. Our special mention has to be our great guide, William, who was always careful and happy to assist us in any way. He was responsible for us for the whole stay and was also our game drive safari guide, thanks to him we had an amazing day, we saw a lot of animals and created core memories we will cherish forever. We definitely recommend having him as a guide, if you have the chance, he is friendly and he does his job with passion and profesionalism. Don’t skip this great venture into the wild heart of Africa! :)

Kindness and joy - I spent three days and two night safari with this tour operator, they took us from our hotel in Dar and brought us directly to the lodge in Nyerere national park! They have been so nice to get any of our requests. William, our guide was amazing, answering every questions we had and fulfilled our every request!

Once in a Lifetime! EXCELLENT!! - I've been on dozens of tours all over the world and this tour falls within the TOP 3 in my lifetime. The communication to book the tour was excellent and all my questions were answered clearly. Pick-up from the port was on time and the 4 hour journey to the lodge was scenic. The lodge, food and customer service was excellent. Our tour guide was magnificent and went above and beyond to ensure we saw the most wildlife. He was very knowledgeable and showed passion in his work. I booked this tour strictly based on the cheapest price factor and went there not expecting much but this tour was a FULL 10/10. This was one of the most exhilarating 3 days of my life without a doubt and I highly rate Kihindo Tours and Safaris for the flawless service rendered.

Superb safari - Our first 3 day safari in Tanzania was a great experience with Kihindo Tours and Safaris. From our exchanges from France with Winnie, the manager, to our meeting on the first day of the safari. Everything was very well organized, clean vehicle, lodge Mloka right next to the park is very well located, superb location, staff with great care. And a big thank you to William, who was an excellent guide as well as an excellent driver. Thanks to him we were able to see as many animals as possible. I highly recommend this agency

A wonderful 3 days with Idriss from Kihindo in Nyerere National Park - We went on a 3 day safari to Nyerere National Park. Winnie was really fantastic answering all my many questions and organising the Safari for us. Our guide Iddris was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for him. He answered all our many questions, took the time to find all the birds, animals and plants and tell us all about habitats and behaviours. He made a big effort to get close to the animals while still respecting the animals space. We saw the Big 4 and many other animals and birds. Idriss driving skills are exceptional and I felt very safe despite the bumpy roads and traffic in Dar as we drove in and out of the city. He helped us get our ferry tickets and manage our luggage so we had low stress experience at the busy terminal. We enjoyed his friendly nature and his humour. We also really enjoyed the river trip with Kennedy, he's very knowledgeable and the walking Safari with Didi. He was able to tell us a lot about bush medicines and the mutualism between animals and between plants and animals. I highly recommend Mloko Safari Lodge with very good accommodation, beautiful setting and good food. The staff, including Elizabeth and Veronica, are very attentive and fun.

Three day safari to Nyerere national park - We were picked up in Dar Es Salaam for the drive to the park. Our driver (lddris) was also our guide for much of the time. In the afternoon we went on a river tour. For this part our guide was Kenedy. We saw hippos and crocodiles and many birds. Our guide proved very knowledgeable. We were particularly impressed by what we leaked about the birds on the river. On the second day, Iddris took us on a 4 wheel drive tour of the park. It was great to see the animals in their wild state. Iddris was fantastic at knowing where to find the animals and their place in the ecology. On the third morning we had a walking safari with Didi as our guide. Didi's animated presentation in traditional garb was really informative and entertaining. We learnt a lot about uses of native plants and animal behaviour. In the afternoon, Iddris drove us back to Dar Es Salaam. For the whole tour we felt looked after with excellent meals and staff who couldn't do enough to help us. We were particularly happy with our guide/diver who became a friend. We found Iddris friendly, reliable and helpful.

Disappointed! - Disappointed with last day's walkng safari, which involved 20 tourists grouped together walkng in a circle just off of the road, led by a village guy dressed in loin cloth, boasting about killing a hippo. Not what I was expecting from a bush walk. The full day game drive was good (2nd day) Our guide, Jumanne, was very knowledgeable, and an excellent driver, took us to all the watering holes, and off road searching for Leopard and wild dogs. Alas elusive but we saw lots of hippos, alligators, giraffe, baboons. Jeeps are old and without aircon, back door doesnt close properly so you eat dust the full 5 hours down from Dar es Salaam and back. The first day river safari, we had a boat guide who barely spoke English. My recommendations, dont bother with Kihindo. You can do better. Go to Serengeti. You'll see a lot more animals.
