Masai giraffes, Lichtenstein’s hartebeest, waterbucks, blue wildebeests, bohor reedbucks, common and red duikers, Dik-Diks, yellow baboons, vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, Colobus monkeys, mongooses, genets, porcupines, sable antelopes, warthogs, hippopotamuses, and crocodiles.

Saadani National Park sits on a coastline, making it a perfect choice if you wish to experience wilderness and seaside at the same spot. It is the single wildlife sanctuary in East Africa where bushland and beach converge, which is why it offers such a unique experience and well worth going to if it fits into your itinerary. The sanctuary is inhabited by around 30 different large mammal species such as elephants, lions, and buffalo. One surprising observation over time is the large elephant packs that move in unison. While the park may have fewer overall elephant numbers and less frequent packs, each pack is rather large, making an elephant encounter here truly spectacular.
