Otherworldly experience of revived historic home/grounds - Included lunch had hearty, plentiful selections. Grounds were beautiful and decor inside home period appropriate, unique and fine quality. Our driver Rene kept us entertained. House tour guide missed some details like sculptures of Lincoln on chair soon after worked on Mount Rushmore. Wonderful experience.

Magnificent! Must do! - This was a magnificent trip! Beautiful house and grounds! Schedule enough time to view in light and dark. The grounds are magical at night. Can’t say enough positive things about this trip. Skip Oak Alley if only doing one or other!

Magical Christmas Anniversary - We visited for our anniversary. Everything was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We ate supper at the Carriage House restaurant. It was very good. Stayed in one of the cottages. It was a lovely room.

Homer92 - The tour & gardens were so worth it and if you are a movie buff, 'Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte' was filmed here which the tour guide pointed out.

Wonderful experience - We arrived today at Houmas plantation house! We sleep in one of the cottage. We ate at the restaurant tonight. We made the tour of the mansion. Everything is wonderful! We are French and American people from Paris living in Austin. I would have wished to meet Kevin Kelly the owner to tell him how is property is beautiful! All renovations made is exceptional. I love this mansion keeping the story of the past. Peharps tomorrow Sunday we will have the chance to meet Kevin in the garden. Berniere’s family.

Beautiful house-light on history - Well maintained/renovated plantation house. Our guide was informative and pleasant. The house maintained most of its charm, even though it has been fully updated, (its used for weddings etc) but not much on the history of use or the times. The stories/information provided completely ignored the slave side of the story, which we were hoping to get.
