Gwalior to Orchha en route Sonagir & Datia

Pitambara Peeth - Shri Peetambara Peetha is one of the most renowned sanctuaries of Baglamukhi, established by Shree Swami Ji in the 1920s. He also established the temple of goddess Dhumavati within the ashram. Dhumavati and Bagalamukhi are two of the ten Mahavidyas. Additionally, there are temples of Parshuram, Hanuman, Kal Bhairav, and other deities spread across the vast area of the Ashram.

Jain Temple Sonagiri - According to Jain scriptures, since the time of Chandraprabhu (the eighth Teerthankar), five and a half crores of ascetic saints have attained moksha (liberation) here. The place is considered sacred by devotees. There is a 3-meter (9.8 ft) rock-cut image of Chandraprabhu dating back to the 5th to 6th century. There are a total of 103 temples, with 77 on the hill and 26 in the village.

Jahangir Mahal - The foundation of Jahangir Mahal dates back to the 17th century A.D. when the ruler of the region, Vir Singh Deo, built the structure as a symbol of warm reception for the Mughal Emperor Jahangir during his first visit to the city. The entrance of Jahangir Mahal, Orchha, is marked by an artistic and traditional gate. The front wall of the structure faces east and is adorned with turquoise tiles. Jahangir Mahal is characterized by three stages: the first marked by stunningly hanging balconies, the second by courtyards, and the third by apartments.

Chhatris Cenotaphs - These memorials for the departed Bundela royalty are no less grand than their palatial structures. Resembling a semi-closed/open umbrella, these Chhatris are prominent along the banks of the Betwa River.

Orchha to Gwalior

Chaturbhuj Temple - Chaturbhuj Temple, dedicated to Vishnu, is located in Orchha, Madhya Pradesh, India. The name Chaturbhuj is a combination of ‘chatur’ meaning “four” and ‘bhuj’ meaning “arms,” which literally translates to “one who has four arms” and refers to Rama, an incarnation of Vishnu.

Sas-Bahu Temple - Sasbahu Temple, also known as the Sas-Bahu Mandir, Sas-Bahu Temples, Sahastrabahu Temple, or Harisadanam Temple, is an 11th-century twin temple in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is near the Gwalior Fort and dedicated to Vishnu in his Padmanabha form, like many Hindu and Jain temples of that era.

Gurudwara Data Bandi Chhod Qilla Gwalior - Gurdwara Data Bandi Chhor was built during the 1970s and 1980s at the site where the sixth Sikh Guru, Hargobind Sahib, was imprisoned by Mughal Emperor Jahangir in 1609 at the age of 14 on the pretext that the fine imposed on his father, the fifth Sikh Guru Arjan, had not been paid by the Sikhs and Guru Hargobind. According to Surjit Singh Gandhi, 52 Rajas who were imprisoned in the fort as hostages for “many rupees” and for opposing the Mughal empire were overwhelmed as they were losing a spiritual guide.
